While here for Area competition with band, Pettys is ALWAYS are go to for hot, fresh, and delicious food. The portion size is great for the price. We paid the $2.50 extra to split the 10 count fired shrimp platter with two side, and it was more than enough. The collards and Lima beans were seasoned so well.

I do not give 5 stars unless all things are perfect and my socks are blown off my feet. Please keep that in mind. Pettys was basically awesome! We love diners and we celebrated my daughters 25th birthday with my folks at Pettys in Lindale, Texas. The food exceeded all expectations, the diner experience was awesome and the wait staff was great. There were loud waitresses, quieter ones, and ours who made us feel at home. If you want an old fashioned diner experience, Pettys in Lindale, Texas is a must!

I had catfish and mashed potatoes. 2 hushpuppies. They were hard and cold. Potatoes were bland. Rolls were good. Catfish was good. Waitresses were good.

When I say HUGE portions, I’m not kidding. We had the Cobb Salad and the Senior size catfish filets. Food served quickly and cold food was cold and hot food was hot. Definitely recommend. Prices were very reasonable. $13 or so each. Filets came with 2 sides. Hot, homemade whole wheat bread with whipped butter was served to snack on while waiting. Cozy, old time atmosphere.

On a road trip looking at houses & properties in the Lindale, TX and surrounding area. Asked our Holiday Inn Express lady for good local family owned type restaurant to try… she said, “Petty’s”. So… after a lot of looking, we ended up at Petty’s. My wife went for the Breaded & Deep Fried Jumbo Shrimp with Hush Puppies, green salad, & French fries. I couldn’t resist the Breaded & Deep Fried Catfish Fillets with Hush Puppies, green salad & French fries. Louise said the shrimp were “incredible”! My catfish was superb too! Salads were cold & crispy… Hush puppies were corn meal with a touch of green chiles for a little kick… French fries were really good… and dinner was served with a fresh baked loaf of bread with honey butter! Server was great & cheerful. All in all…. very happy with our choice!

A wonderful local restaurant. Friendly service, great food, nice variety of food choices to choose from. Butter was unique and very smooth – loved the taste. Hubby got the pork rinds appetizer and catfish for dinner. I got hamburger steak with bacon wrapped around the steak with brown gravy and it was delicious. Would recommend. I don’t even like rinds and I tried these and they weren’t bad.

The chicken fried steak and fried pork loin was great and definitely melted in my mouth, love that they have lunch special that comes with drinks and a dessert, even though our server did not inform us. Our meals supposed to come with rolls but they never came. The half order of onion rings were huge, we couldn’t finish. The pancakes were decent. Every female was giving a flower for mothers day except for me (I also have a child with me) and a women of color.. so I wonder if there was some racial discrimination during our visit

It’s my first time eating here in general but I did place a take out order. The salad was delicious, the greens beans were good, and my steak was a bit dry but delicious. To be fair it was a NY strip steak and it can get dry quickly. I would eat there again but this time in person. It’s delicious and I can’t wait to go again
