We have visited this restaurant chain for decades. It was our favorite. We hadn’t gone to this particular location in many many years. Sad to say it was one of the worst experiences we’ve had as far as the quality of the food. The chips & salsas were not the same. The chips were all different in color. The red salsa tasted from a can or jar. The pico was not fresh, cilantro wilted & the tomatoes tasted either canned or spoiling. The ingredients were not consistent with each other in size especially the jalapeños, they were unusually large chunks. We both ordered the chilaquiles suizas. My husband gets this dish exclusively every single visit. This was a far cry from what he & I had been used to throughout the years. The usual deep orange enchilada/chili sauce was red & tangy basically tomato sauce which was extremely bland. The cheese was almost non existent & of very poor quality. The chips were either dark, burnt or undercooked. And most of all the chicken was disgusting. It looked & tasted “off” like it was from a can or had been sitting in the fridge for weeks or on the counter for days. We were extremely disappointed & will never go back to this chain ever. The oracle rd location had been a disappointment many years ago & the speedway one as well. Since we have always loved this restaurant we decided to give the ina location one last ditch effort. So sorry that we did. My leftovers are going in the trash.

Pure DELICIOUSNESS! Tender steak and I assure you the flavors sizzled their way on over to our table via the fajitas! Fresh guacamole is a must have, but I seriously don’t think I could go wrong at this place. Next time I will close my eyes and pick. It was THAT GOOD and Stephanie, our server, felt more like my Tia (Aunt). ♥️

The parking was adequite (3/5) & ambiance (atmosphere) was inviting (4/5). Great authentic Mexican decor (4/5)! The men’s restroom wasn’t dirty, but it also wasn’t very clean. I was about to give it only 2 stars, but then I saw the hook on the door that allowed me to exit and I decided to give the bathroom 2.5/5 stars. Is so far so good, right? But then we got to the poor service. The young man was clearly out of his element and lacking in training. He forgot several common items such as extra napkins and utensils as well as checking on our party which was 3 adults and one teen. I really wish that managers would teach their servers to answer a question they don’t know the answer to like this: “Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer to that question, but let me check on it right away and get you an answer.” As opposed to making it up and pulling something out of their rear end. Finally we had to wait an extremely long amount of time to get our check. Ultimately I had to get-up-and-go find this site manager and share with him our experience. To his credit he gave us 25% off of our meal. I suggested to him that he might need to retrain is retrain our waiter. He agreed. He explained to us that he had only been on the job for 2 weeks. Luckily several of our requests were fulfilled by another waiter who was not handling our table (2/5). Overall score of 3.1/5

Pretty good good overall. Getting a table was slow, but once seated. We had drinks and chips and salsa very quickly. I had the shrimp tacos and the family did the chicken fajitas. All good quality. Had two large families seated next to us.

The ambience is nice. Overall, it’s a bit overpriced for what can be found of equal flavor throughout Tucson for less. The chips were cold and didn’t taste fresh. They serve them with 3 different salsas, served in very small containers. The meal was overall satisfactory. I ordered a drink that was prepared by the waiter, he did not know how to mix it and had to prepare it twice. I finally asked to have the ingredients brought to me and corrected the drink mixture.
I won’t say I won’t come again, because I most likely will but it will be a decision of convenience (distance, hours, etc.).

The food is not as good as it used to be. 1 server for the entire restaurant when the 4 of us went to lunch. Very slow and overpriced.

I was visiting from out of town and used to go to the one at 35th Ave and Tbird in Phoenix until I moved out of town, so this was a must stop during the trip. I ordered the #14 which is my old favorite. Everything was exactly as I remembered and the staff friendly and attentive. I’ll be back again!

La Parrilla Suiza never disappoints, from their delicious variety of entrees to their homemade flan this restaurant has it all. We were able to be seated on the weekend with no reservation and we’re treated well by staff and servers. We will be back!
