The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, exuding a cozy Irish-British style. The pub was adorned with extensive oak and mahogany, featuring sturdy traditional wooden tables with dark finishes. High back stools lined the bar, and on this particular Sunday evening, there was a nice little crowd and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We decided to order the seitan wings, vegan nachos, and a vegan cheesesteak, along with two mocktails. The wings and the nachos arrived together, but we found the wings to be overly crispy and hard, with a dry inside that made them difficult to eat. After requesting for them to be fried for half the time, the wings came back out much better – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired perfectly with a hot honey sauce, vegan ranch, and fresh cut celery and carrot sticks as sides.

The vegan nachos were generously piled high and layered with vegan chorizo, tomatoes, black beans, cheese sauce, and cilantro. About halfway through the nachos, we realized the absence of guacamole and vegan sour cream. The server promptly apologized and brought out the missing sides, along with the cut limes we had requested, as is common with nacho orders. As for the vegan cheesesteak, we had planned to take a bite and save the rest for later. It tasted good, but we felt that the bread should have been toasted. After a quick stint in the air fryer, the roll came out perfect – crusty on the outside with a soft cheesy inside and tender seitan meat.

Complementing our meal were the mocktails – the Arnold Schwartz with cucumber, lemonade, and iced tea, missing the mint that would have elevated the drink, and the refreshing Peter Cetera with lime juice, vanilla grapefruit, and club soda. Our server and host were both accommodating and took care of the adjustments we requested. We left with plans to return, noting how the menu looked much better online and the tempting specials they offer during the week – like the six dollar smash burgers and various dinner specials. Check it out!

I ordered from uber eats so I can’t comment on the service and atmosphere. Most of the food I ordered was great and the portion sizes matched what I paid for. However, tell me why I paid $12 for vegan chocolate coconut cake, expecting a normal sized slice of cake, and got this bite sized nonsense? I kid you not, it was smaller than the palm of my hand. It’s shameful that it was $12.

Probably one of the coolest, most affordable Bourbon bars I’ve been to. Great prices, food looked great but didn’t eat. Highly recommend it for a bourbon stop.

Came for the vegan food- did NOT disappoint. Really beautiful old style bar inside with woo accents & tin ceiling. It really feels like a historic bar. Cozy & welcoming. All of our vegan food was amazing!

Seitan wings- super crispy but tender inside. Lathered in delicious BBQ sauce served with vegan ranch!

Vegan cheesesteak- the roll was fresh. Tons of seasoned seitan with vegan cheese sauce, onions & peppers. It was really delish! Ordered a side of onion rings because let’s be real- onion rings are the best part of bar food! The onion rings were delicious, crispy & so yummy!

They also have a IMPRESSIVE bar selection for bourbon/whiskey lovers. Like, an entire menu devoted to it.

Come for the cozy small bar vibes, good food & drinks. Enjoy the atmosphere !

Good food and a nice, relaxing atmosphere. We went on Easter for dinner. We both enjoyed our dinner and had the chocolate mousse for desert. Service was a bit slow, but they were probably just short staffed. They had an amazing assortment of liquor.

The bartenders and waiting staff are very good. The atmosphere is old School jazz bourbon style. However, the kitchen took an hour and 15 minutes to come out with the food and the shrimp tacos were overcooked. The place was half empty at the time.

I was extremely disappointed by my experience here. We had a party of 13. The reservation was made 10 days before. But the day of, when she called to verify, they didn’t have a copy of the reservation. But the head of our party had it in writing, so they said no problem, we still have seating. That was a lie. We were sitting at 2 different tables. It was awkward. It probably would have been better if they just told us that they didn’t have availability.
I got a diet coke, which ended up being flat! For anyone who knows this pain, it set the mood for the whole meal. I got fried pickles to share. They were fine. A bit soggy and bland though. I got the casesar salad with a salmon. The casear salad was good. Salmon was okay.
They charged for an extra diet coke. And they put chicken on someone’s caesar salad that didn’t ask for it and can’t eat chicken. So that was disappointing.
I tried a slice of the cheese pizza and, unfortunately, you can mess up a pizza. I actually couldn’t swallow it, I was appalled.
Friends who got cocktails said they were well done and worth the price.
I would love to give it another chance. It’s clear that it’s a bar, not a restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at this amazing bar and restaurant, and I have to say—it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we were seated, our waiter, Alex, completely elevated the experience with his professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm for making sure we had a great time.

We were there for the bottomless mimosa brunch, and Alex truly made it bottomless in every sense of the word. Not once did our glasses sit empty—he seemed to appear at just the right moment with a cheerful smile and a perfectly poured refill. It never felt rushed or mechanical; instead, it felt like he genuinely cared about ensuring we enjoyed every minute of our meal.

What stood out the most was how Alex balanced attentiveness with a relaxed, easygoing vibe. He checked in just enough to make sure we had what we needed, but never to the point of interrupting conversation or making us feel hurried. He also had a great sense of timing—our food arrived promptly, hot, and beautifully presented. When we had a couple of quick questions about menu items, he answered confidently and even made thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be spot-on.

Throughout the brunch, Alex kept the atmosphere light and friendly, creating that perfect mix of laid-back and elevated that makes brunch feel special. It was clear he enjoys what he does and takes pride in providing top-tier service.

By the time we left, my friends and I were already talking about when we’d come back—and that’s entirely thanks to Alex. He turned what could have been a standard brunch into a truly memorable experience. If you’re planning to visit, ask for Alex—he’ll make sure your bottomless mimosa brunch lives up to its name and then some.

I would give Bourbon & Branch a 2.5 based on the food. I’ve been for different events, but never actually had the food until tonight. We ordered all vegan stuff and everything was pretty mediocre. Visually it all looked stunning, but it missed the mark. There is some incredible vegan restaurants in philly and this just is not one of them. The fried vegan mozzarella was down right disgusting and was the only thing no one could stomach at the table. The vegan chicken nachos were ok. Dry & flavorless are the only things that come to mind. But they were edible. The fried pickles were the best thing that we ordered. They were actually pretty good. The Mac and cheese was not great. The vegan Buffalo chicken sandwich was pretty decent but doesn’t come close to hip city or plnt burger. I hate comparing restaurants to other restaurants but there just wasn’t a ton of redeeming quality’s of the food. The service was also just ok. Never got water refills after asking several times. I probably would of leaned toward 3 stars if the service was better.

Best part of the experience was the outdoor seating. I really appreciate places that have outdoor seating.I also appreciate places that offer vegan options, but this just wasn’t the place for me.

Maybe we visited in an off night or something cause it came highly recommended by a couple friends of mine and again, as an event space it’s really dope. The food was also very expensive for the quality. Nearly $200 for 4 people and no one cared for the food.

Dated bourbon dive bar that has good bourbon based cocktails accompanied with bar food. The menu was large but dated that consisted of a heavily fried selections.
The service was excellent and bartender was friendly and talented. Its worth stopping in for a drink – but exploring other options for dining nearby.
