I visited Brasas Peruanas for lunch with my husband and overall we had a good experience! The food was made fresh to order. I ordered chicken soup, a beef empanada and fried rice while my husband ordered a different version of chicken soup that included noodles and pork and potatoes. He enjoyed his his meal as well. While I was not a fan of the soup (texture was off), the empanada was delicious but was only stuffed halfway. The fried rice was delicious. Service was slow as there was only one waitress serving all patrons.

Wow, pretty amazing food. I ordered the Jalea which was a fried seafood dish and it had fried yuca too. There was a spicy Peruvian sauce which was absolutely delicious.

Must try if you are in the area. We are so glad we came by today.

Wow! This dish was delish! I’m talking about Jalea. If you are in the mood for some fried seafood this is it. They serve you a mound full! I could not finish it by myself. It came with a sauce I forgot the name which was creamy. The server also recommended two other sauces which were fabulouuuus! One was for the yucca the other for the seafood. The dish has calamari, fish, octopus, oysters and I believe also scallops. All battered and fried. The red onions goes really good with the battered yumminess! Had the chicha morada to drink which has cinnamon and cloves! Great experience, delish food. Waiter was very attentive

Took a friend to Brasas Peruanas. It was our first time trying this restaurant.

My friend ordered the Tallarin Saltado Limeño and I ordered the Tacu Tacu Limeño with tenderloin. Both dishes looked good. However the beef on both was a bit less tender than expected, which is why 3-stars.

But the service was good. The waitress was very attentive.

The layout of the restaurant is a bit odd because the bar separates the main dining area from the bar and window seating. Kinda cuts the energy from the room.

Overall a three star rating by my standards. Still not bad.

The Causa Limeña was amazing, super delicious. We also had caipirinhas and they were very good. I had the 1/4 Peruvian chicken. It was good, the sauces that came with it were delicious. However, it didn’t seem to have been marinated as long as described, as it was a bit dry. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. The place seemed new, so I would be willing to try it again.

I enjoyed this place! It wasn’t as delicious or as pretty as another local Peruvian restaurant I have been to, but the food here was tasty and enjoyable. I got to try some new flavors. The waitress was kind and attentive.

The food is delicious. Excellent experience all around. The staff were very friendly and helped get high chairs for all the kids. The drinks, food, service, overall 5 stars. I’m really looking forward to visiting again soon.

This place tucked away in round Rock. It’s definitely a cool little place to try some Peruvian food. That being said, let’s talk about the experience.

Little shop has an interesting parking lot. Arrangement used to be fast food drive-thru but now with the layout there’s really only about five six parking spots you have access to. It’s not a deal breaker, but I can see where it meets harder to find parking during busy or hours.

Outside the shop it also says now open and the shop has been open for years so it’s a little interesting choice of banner.

I know that’s probably nit picking but I figured it’d be important.

Bar area. No drafts but definitely had a good selection of different types of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

We chose to get their two signature Peruvian drinks. They were very delicious. The Passion fruit drink was a little sour which was nice. The chicha Morada was also very good. Probably my favorite of the two.

I chose to get the Peruvian steak. I requested the tenderloin for the $7 up charge. My wife chose to get the aji de gallonia

I must say that I did enjoy my wife’s dish. It was very comforting and reminded me something I’ve eaten before. I just can’t put my finger on it.

The steak once it came out we immediately knew it was not a tenderloin. We went ahead and took the pictures and requested that the server to verify it was a sirloin and not a tenderloin on the plate.

It was confirmed that it was a sirloin and unfortunately I didn’t want to waste food. So I elected to eat the sirloin and they removed the $7 additional charge.

That being said, I’m not a big fan of sirloins. I believe the flavor isn’t as good as a tenderloin, so please be checking your steaks at least for when you make your purchase to verify you did get the cut of meat you asked for.

At the waitresses suggestion we took on the mixed cake that had passion fruit mousse on top of chocolate cake.

I thought it was pretty good. It was like the chocolate as much as she normally thought she would which is interesting for her to say that.

Overall, I think the best thing on the plate for me was the plantains. Those things were fantastic.

I enjoyed my wife’s dish over my dish just because of the cut of meat.

Would I give this place another shot? Sure all the other chance.

This is the first time I’ve had Peruvian food and the portions were amazing, the flavors of every dish we had were unique but spectacular. I would come back here once a week. Amazing.
