I’m from the Midwest and prefer my thin-crust pizza to be cut into SQUARES, like you would find from any tavern-style pizza place in Chicago. I make this “special” request with MOD every time and the result is always a surprise.
I typically have to say, “Seriously, cut it in squares like 1, 2, 3 vertical and 4, 5, 6 horizontal (making visual motions with my hand). MOD gets it right only about 10% of the time!
When they “forget” to honor this complicated request, I will often re-cut squares right over top of their pie slices. It ends up being a Frankenstein-cut hack job like several shown here.
Is this really that hard MOD? Just add **one more** choice to the Create Your Own custom selection process for HOW a customer would like their pizza cut, New York style (pie) or Chicago style (squares)!

Slooooowest line ever. Plenty of people working making orders for imaginary people. They ran out of red sauce at 6:20 p.m. during the dinner rush. Seriously, who runs out of red sauce? What is happening here? Watched the guy spend more time putting on gloves than making pizza. They didn’t seem to know what on their suggested pizzas — good thing I could read the menu to them. Meager toppings unless you ask for more. The picture is what I had to eat after being here for 35 minutes — water glasses. Strongly suggest you order ahead, or just go to Costco for pizza. Sigh.

We ordered online and went to Mod Pizza for the first time today. Ordering online was easy. The price point is good for the pizza, the Greek side salad is a bit overpriced. The order was ready pretty much on time. The clerk asked for the name on the order and said it would just be a few minutes more. Once the pizzas were boxed, he handed them to my husband and walked away. My husband had to tell him we also have a side salad and two no name cakes. The clerk gave him the salad and then told him that he could pick up the cakes by the cash register himself. I had also ordered two packages of crushed red peppers that my husband was not aware of, and so they were not given to him. All of these things were set on the pizza boxes… the salad dressing, and a container of pesto that we did not order, so when my husband came out of the store, he was carrying two pizzas, two cakes, a salad and two cups of dressing, all balancing on top! Attention was needed by the clerk to what the order was. They need a bag for the other items to be carried out. The pizza crust was thin, as ordered, it didn’t have a great pizza crust flavor or chew, it was disappointing. The toppings were fine. I ordered Mike’s favorite pizza and it came with different cheeses on it, the distribution was not very good.
I only had a few hints of the ricotta cheese. The no name cakes were like a large ding dong. The chocolate one was tasty, the limited offering red velvet cake was not very good. I had such high hopes for this place as it was highly recommended by family. The pictures were taken after the fact, I apologize.

MOD Pizza, where Italian dreams go up in flames , quite literally!
Came here for our Nephew’s birthday, he’s obsessed with fire and our family was tired of Jenkin’s building them in the backyard, so we left it up to the experts @ MOD Pizza to show him how to make them in a safe environment.
Booked the birthday package on Black Friday like an badass uncle, never expected Jenkin’s to lose his mind but holy cannoli, he quite literally did. He ran into MOD Pizza like he was an orphan looking for his first warm meal in a month and jumped straight into the firebrick oven.
Silly Jenkins, that’s not how you cook pizza, well, sort of. But not safe for humans apparently.
10/10 would cook another family member for this delicious treat.
Get the MEGA cookie, two extra for the troops too, Merica’!

Thank you for having dairy free cheese. It has been so long since I’ve been able to have restaurant pizza. You can’t always trust when they say they say dairy free, but Mod Pizza is the real deal. They keep the dairy free cheese separate from the other cheese and covered. I loved choosing my own toppings! It’s so nice to have a new restaurant I can trust to not make me sick!

We love Mod Pizza! The Caspian (minus Gorgonzola) is my favorite! Add a little ranch and sirancha for dipping!!! Yum!
Only complaint is how cold it was in the restaurant! I felt like I needed a coat in August!

I’m only leaving one star because it doesn’t allow zero stars. This place had a long wait with barely anyone inside. The server guy was incredibly rude. Very abrasive, acted like we were stupid for not understanding the order process. He also asked for our names and then said, “oh that’s not your real name, okay. ” what do you mean? You don’t know us? What name would you want us to say??????? I am a server myself, and I would never speak to a customer this way. As I said above wait was incredibly long and by the time I got my food it was cold, and the pizza was also burnt. This location is horrible, do not go here if you want to have an enjoyable meal.

Mod Pizza is always a good option. I like the make-your-own option, but their regular menu items are also good. The crust is great, everything is fresh, and they also have great fountain drink options including yummy fruit-ade flavors.
My only complaint was that one of the workers didn’t speak a word of English, so she had to ask someone else to help me with my pizza order.
