Wow it is my first time here. I ordered some pan fried chive big dumpling things and this deep fried Shanghainese buns. I did not realize they were going to make it fresh right there! I was starving so I bought 8 steamed pork buns for $10 that were pre-made to eat.
Omg everything is so fresh and so delicious!! The Chive Dumplings have SO MUCH UMAMI!! So much!! I will be back here for sure! They are real Northern Chinese chefs here!

My wife discovered this hole in the wall place ar the GW Supermarket Food Court. She loves this chive and egg pocket.
It’s called Jiu Cai He Zi. I think it is called “Chive Pockets” or “Chive Boxes.”
Really fresh but it takes a little time to make so we order ahead of time. We call 20-30 minutes ahead of time or we order and then go grocery shopping.
Highly recommend these! Really great and fresh!

Have always passed by this rather big strip mall and wondered what was in there, so we decided to explore a bit this weekend. There’s a food court in there that yes, is rather dismal and worn looking, but hey, if there are many Asians eating the Asian food there, then I’m gonna try it out! We ordered potstickers and beef rolls for takeaway.
Man oh man, the beef rolls were legit and truly the best I’ve ever had. Were they cold? Yes. Honestly not sure how they could’ve gone cold because we live a measly two miles from this plaza, and the cook was clearly in the back rolling out dough. Maybe he didn’t make these to order. But, nothing a bit of time on my own stove couldn’t help. I crisped them up in a pan and they were absolutely delicious. I hope that the next time I order these, they won’t be cold bc it’s a bit worrying why these were in the first place ♀️
The potstickers (which were NOT cold) were super juicy on the inside, crispyyyy on the bottom, and had that thick handmade wrapper I love. They provide a chili sauce/black vinegar concoction that was perfect for the dumplings and cuts through the fat in the pork stuffing.
I’ll definitely go back, but a word to the wise: it appears that they do make at least some stuff to order, so be prepared to wait a while if you go there on a whim. Next time, I’ll call in my order first.

Guys, I’ve tried these potstickers. They’re made with pork filling, really high-quality ingredients, but be careful when you eat them. Otherwise… you might accidentally hurt your teeth… Don’t ask me how I know… the shopkeepers are very friendly; they said they didn’t know either. Maybe some mischievous pork bones wandered in and played around. The taste is alright, but they’re a real pain in your teeth!
