The food was outstanding! Spice packs a punch and there’s a lot of love put into their craft! I definitely plan on dining here again and I recommend you do as well!! (I had the sesame chicken.)

I have been getting takeout from Bangkok Flavor for years! I pretty much exclusively get the peanut curry noodle add broccoli and green beans and a large ton kah soup. One might say I am addicted to these 2 dishes. The peanut curry sauce is just to die for and the bouncy wide rice noodles are so delightful. The broth of the tom kah soup is something everyone should experience. Talk about a total flavor explosion in your mouth! Its sweet, salty, sour, spicy, and umami! I look forward to this food SO much! I probably get it every other week (sometimes more). I also want to say that the service is AMAZING. I almost always order on Sunday so the same sweet lady is working every time. I LOVE her. She knows me by name and is always so pleasant and she hums cute little songs as she takes orders and/or cashes you out. She just makes me smile! I highly recommend this place and I highly recommend the peanut curry noodle and the tom kah soup. But, I bet everything is good!

If you are expecting Thai food, keep looking.

Veggie Thai Fried Rice was more like Chinese fried rice from the flavor to the water chestnuts to the style of rice, wasn’t even Jasmine.

Chicken Pad Thai, was WHITE!?!, chicken and noodles were white, missing the Tamarind, fish sauce, dark soy sauce.

Beef Pad See Ewe was over sauced, lack of protein and turned into a gelatinous chunk.

We ate a plate and had to discard the rest.

Thai’d it, didn’t like it.

Fast & super friendly service and exceptional taste! We all shared fresh spring rolls (with shrimp) as an appetizer, so yummy, especially with the peanut paste!! Kids and I had different versions of the Pad Thai (chicken, tofu, chicken with curry), the Thai apple salad and DH had the Peanut Sauce noodles. He said it was the best he ever had and we eat at lots of different Thai restaurants when we travel. The Pad Thai was also very good. The added curry made it creamier. We also ordered extra peanut sauce on the side. It was lighter and a little fruitier than the thicker paste/ dip that came with the fresh spring rolls. You can’t go wrong, highly recommended!!

I have to say this is the best Thai food that I’ve had west of Detroit. Service is great. Portions perfect. Nothing like delicious leftovers! I’ll definitely be back.

the service was ok. to be fair she got 3 tables as we walked in. we ordered our Pad Thai with red curry and we got it with yellow. fine, we also asked for white rice and had to ask again. my daughter and I only had water because the waitress was not at our table long enough for us to order sodas. my husband ended up asking for a beer.

the pad thai….I should note im half Korean so maybe my standards for Thai is a little different but the pad thai noodles weren’t the correct noodles. They were more like Ramen noodles and if the cook time was 10 minutes this stuff was cooked for 20. the noodles were almost mush.

trying to get the waitresses attention wasn’t worth the effort because by the time we ate five or six bites we tapped out.

I was super disappointed. the restaurant itself was decent. there was a strong smell of some kind of chemical she used to wipe tables too. it was extremely off putting.

The waitress seemed unapproachable as she talked or sang to herself the whole time. The…Whole…Time

I will also note the picture of the noodles on Google isnt the same noodle we were given for pad thai. I looked at the photos to judge whether or not we would try and based on those photos we chose this restaurant. Felt deceived.

Disappointed in my experience. Came on a Sunday afternoon, reataurant had a few tables sat, and most were leaving. I stood up front for a few minutes before being acknowledged. Water was brought quickly. After nearly 10 minutes, my server came to take my order. I ordered spring rolls and drunken noodles no broccoli. It took another 20 minutes to get the spring rolls. The wrap seemed like it was double wrapped, as it was tougher and thicker than I’m used to. Flavor was OK, the sauce was akin to a Chinese duck sauce. The drunken noodles arrived about 10 minutes later. There was broccoli in it, so I picked that out. I never saw my server again except when she dropped the bill (water was empty and I had eaten just a few bites.) The flavor was not what I’m used to. It was saltier than I expected and much darker in color. The veggies were fine. With no water and my check ready, I asked for a box and handed over my card. I got the receipt a few minutes later, but no pen, so I walked up front to sign it. Price was very fair for the portion, although if you are very hungry I suggest getting extra meat. Overall disappointing experience, and I likely won’t go back.

2025 update:
We first came here in 2002 and the food was excellent then. We came 2 years ago and again it was very good but we came today and it wasn’t at all. The Egg Drop Soup was ok I guess – tasted so-so but it was red! I lived in Thailand for many years and never saw red egg drop soup here or there. My husband got the Drunken Noodles and actually felt sick a couple hours later. I got Pad See Yu and it didn’t taste right, was very soupy (it’s a dry dish) and was extremely salty. I assume they got a new chef?? Perhaps Americans who don’t know what Thai food should taste like might like it (the place was quite full when we left but no Asians) but for those who’ve lived or even been to Thailand it was not what it should taste like. We’re rarely in town here and stop when we are, but this is our last time. We won’t be back.
2023 – This is a great Thai restaurant with excellent food and large portions.

Consistent excellence, some of the best authentic Thai dishes you will ever taste, great employees, comfortable environment, fair prices, large portion sizes. Put all those together and there’s absolutely no reason to not love Bangkok Flavor! They do it right, every time. Try it and you will crave it. Competitors can’t come close to the flavor and freshness you will find here. Hands down, the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever experienced.

Just visited again. No other place compares. Not even close. Yum!

This small little hole in the wall is delicious! I had shrimp pad thai, and I was satisfied. Customer service was also so amazing. We had our 2yo daughter with us, and it is usually a little stressful for us to take her out in public, but the ladies working today were so great! They had festive crafts for her to do while we waited for our food, then they brought out a coloring book and some toys as they saw she was not too interested in eating, but wanting to play around. If you have a day that you need to be out and about with family, and Asain food doesn’t scare you, check out this place 🙂
