Love Bug
Great place for dinner. The Shrimp nachos was delicious. So were the Grill Taco Salad and Texas platter. Adele, our server was so friendly and helped us to decide the best choices in the menu. We tried her Signature Flan, and also the churros. We will definitely go back.

I have eaten at this place several times in the past and never had a bad experience until the last visit. We were a party of four. Two had burritos and liked them. One had street tacos and they were 4/10. I made the mistake of ordering the King Shrimp which was the most expensive entree and it was terrible. They advertised “bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp”. In reality they were tiny shrimp rolled up in a bacon ball and severely overcooked. Absolutely terrible. My bad; I should have sent it back but I didn’t even though the server asked how it was twice. The basic Mexican food was not up to our standards and the King Shrimp was terrible. I will never return after this experience. The service was excellent.

Obviously the passion for food was kept alive after new ownership. Anyone complaining is dead wrong. I just had my first meal from this place in years and its very good. Not a single complaint. The chips are amazing the salsa is amazing. The beans had a little too much pork lard in it though in my opinion but still very good.

(Update: 2 years ago: 3 Stars) Food is still good but we don’t eat here anymore because they got rid of all of our favorite servers. Now everytime you go there it’s someone new or a server that acts like they hate their job. Not sure if they need paid more or just need a moral boost but if you can’t keep your happy staff, or your staff happy, you are obviously doing something wrong.

Big thank you to the server Rick. He always greets you like he’s happy to see you. Great attitude and great service. Every time we eat here we hope he’s our server because he’s never let us leave disappointed.
My family eats here often. Almost everything I’ve tried tastes great. My old standby was the chicken or beef fajita jr. I’ve recently been hooked on their chicken quesadilla but their Mexican chili burger is also a favorite. They also offer a buffet and rooms for large groups as well as the banquet side of the building for special events.
If you like tea, the unsweet is refreshing like cold water and not bland like other places. The sweet tea however is nothing like you’ll get at other places either. We still like it but its definitely not what we had first expected. They also offer pop and alcohol as well.
The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are always beyond friendly. The service is always good even when they’re busy. And to top it all of, 2 people can get full for under $20. They also offer military discounts if you ask even though they don’t advertise it. I usually just give it to the servers though because after the low price of the meal and the high value of the service, I really think they deserve it.

I walked in with a large order for 15+ people. They called the manager in just to take my order got it ready in under 30 minutes and my office absolutely loved it. I am so grateful and would order 10/10 again!!!

Food was great. The service was horrible. Had to ask for every refill and every time the waitress came back to the table she’d forget what we asked for and had to come back again. Also brought me the wrong order the first time because she didn’t put it in correctly. Still paid full price for everything and didn’t realize until we left that we were even OVERCHARGED for our meals.

The bacon was not cooked to order. The mirror and glass partition were not clean. Our waitress never came back after she dropped off our food. We were never asked about refilling our coffee.

We have been coming to Dons for over 30 yrs. Stopped today and was disappointed in the change of the food. Rice was different and sauce for enchiladas was not the same

Nice place and breakfast was great! They have a buffet for lunch that looked amazing. Ill have to come back! I forgot to take a pic of my breakfast before the to go box. $4.95 Toast, eggs, potatoes and coffee. I’m picky with my eggs and they were amazingly done scrambled of course!;)

This was the first time I eat here and the food was okay I had better Mexican food! The food was spicy and it was okay! I don’t think I’ll eat there again! But the service was great just the food I have an issue with just because it was spicy and the food was just okay!
