Warm, relaxed restaurant serving Mexican classics from fajitas to tacos plus beers & tequila drinks.

Edgar, Olivia, and the hostess were great! Edgar was on top of it, he made sure her chips, salsa, and water were always topped off, checked on this frequently if we need anything. The food was tasty and definitely worth its value. Our drinks were delicious, we had skinny top shelf margaritas, Chilli Rellenos, and shrimp with octopus cocktail-so good. They served us right away and attended to all our needs. Definitely check this place out.

Our large party of ten proved to be no problem in seating or in serving. Waitress was efficient and attentive. We ordered a variety of entrees and everyone seemed satisfied with what they had ordered. Chips and salsa were complimentary. Nice restaurant and good food.

This place would be better if they had a Happy Hour…. booths are too high for young children. Beans were delicious and Spicy salsa was caliente!! Overall, nice place for dinner.

The hostess, kind and welcoming, and the ladies bathroom, clean and stocked. I 100% recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Mexican food experience.

I liked my choice, which was Fajitas, but my husband didn’t like his choice. I don’t remember what is the name. We really like quiet atmosphere with no loud music and especially our water whose name was Markus

To start it off, they didn’t have a called in confirmed reservation. They did confirm that the number called was the summit location. So the staff never entered it even though they said they did. A couple entering after us also had same issue.
While waiting at least the bar stocks Modelo Negra. 15m, not bad! 17m to get water, had to flagged down a manager and then got excellent service, in their defense the waiter didn’t know it was his table and apologized.
Food took about 30m, its ok. Nothing to write home about.

We are frequent guests at Miguel’s at The Summit and came in tonight for my birthday dinner. My husband ordered a frozen Cadillac margarita, took one sip, and politely asked to switch it for his usual Cadillac on the rocks. He has never returned a drink before.
Instead of handling it professionally, one of the owners confronted him at the table in a rude tone and loudly announced—within earshot of other guests—that she’d make an exception “this one time” and never again. It was humiliating.
We didn’t eat our food, paid the bill and tip, and left. They lost two loyal customers over a simple drink swap. Unfortunate, as we used to enjoy this place.

Miguel’s is my go to Mexican Food spot in Reno. While not perfect, there food is good, with some authentic items like Beef Tongue, Pisoli and menudo. They have a large selection of Margaritas and their servings are large and filling. I prefer the South Reno location, as it is a much larger space.
