Before I get started I’m from the south side so I’m basically pro Harold’s. The chicken was decent but seasoned like Harold’s with a kind of sweet mild sauce. I’m not gonna lie the sauce kinda hit but Harold’s mild sauce is undefeated. We got our food pretty fast. It was fresh and hot. The price in my opinion was kinda high but I was happy to support.

There’s a few words for these type of establishments and the type of people they hire, but my review would probably be flagged if I said it. They can’t get orders right and they have no problem ARGUING with each other in front of customers completely abandoning their positions. I was here Sun Feb 1 at 7:45. The woman at the till with notoriously poor customer service left the register to listen in on her colleagues in the back having the most CHILDISH, PETTY, NONSENSE ARGUMENT about who closed a door on some chick. It was one of the dumbest conversations/arguments I ever heard in my life. Someone needs to be fired. AND it involved every adult in the establishment, leaving the customers just in the front waiting to place an order, get their food (fry cooks left too) OR in my case, complain that they forgot to add the fries I paid for. I was already annoyed because I had to come back to get the food I paid for but then to have to wait for these adults to go back and forth over some nonsense??? Ridiculous. If anything the woman at the register needs to be let go, she completely neglected her position to join in on a fight KNOWING she had people waiting to place an order.

Go to Harold Chicken instead. Here the sauce is way too sweet and they don’t tell you they pick it on automatically unless requested otherwise. It was just plain awful

The best way to eat okra! One of Uncle Remus’ best sides is the fried okra! I added their famous mild sauce to my fried okra every time! My favorite! ❤️

The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was quiet and clean…I asked for my chicken not to be fried hard but yet and still it was still fried hard to the point where the dark meat was dry and my okra was dry with to much breading, nothing like harolds chicken

“Catfish” was terrible. I told the girl at the counter mild sauce on the side. Got home and it was not on the side it was soaking the fish. Some people like that I don’t that’s why I said on the side. Plus it’s way too expensive
Wasted 15 dollars on 2 pieces of so called catfish. Could hardly eat it.
I’ll never go back to that joint again

With Sharks and Harold’s out where I am, I really wish they’d gone head and put an Uncle Remus out here, too. (Addison, Bloomingdale, Glendale Heights, or Hanover Park) Uncle Remus is my fav chicken and not because I’m a west sider at heart but because can’t nothing beat that sauce and it pairs well with hot sauce and salt and pepper! What happened with Uncle Remus? Y’all were the go-to always clutch! Y’all used to have big wings but now y’all charge for these little Wingstop size wings at the same cost as the way they used to be ♂️fix it. NOW

I drive 45 minutes to this location and they did not disappoint. The interior was clean. The staff was friendly and efficient, greeting me right away and taking my order. The food was ready within 20 minutes. They sent a text to let me know. I opened the food right away and noticed the chicken was hot, crispy, and juicy. Once I finished eating six wings, I noticed that I didn’t have fries. I went back in and they gave me hot, fresh fries. I will definitely be back!
