This was an excellent experience. We recently came here for dinner during when they were doing a two course holiday menu. I ordered the calamari followed by the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi.
Everything was delicious and the service was exceptional. To top it off the views from there are incredible and we even had a fantastic sunset. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second visit here (1st in 2023) did not disappoint! Went 1:00, late lunch, pretty quiet, efficient & excellent service, nicest hostess, beautiful view of the ocean and perfect tropical breeze the day of our visit. Steak (OMG the flavors!) & salad wedge was excellent! We shared the Pineapple upside down desert- LEAVE ROOM FOR THIS! Food typical prices for a Country Club/Maui, no sticker shock for us.

All of the food that we had was great! All of the servers were very nice and respectful. We had our reservations around 4:30pm and not many people were there when we first arrived but it got very busy as the night went on. This restaurant os a perfect place to watch the sunset and have a dinner. The price of the food is on the higher side but all of the food was fantastic. We would recommend going if you are in the area!

Such a wonderful restaurant to eat and watch the sunset. We had salads, calamari, and several fish dishes. All of them were delicious. The service was great and the views were stunning. It’s a great place to sit and enjoy an evening.

Plantation House has one of the greatest sunset views! It is so hard to beat and the food is phenomenal! Get a view looking out towards the sunset, and pro tip: you can walk downstairs and get an unobstructed view on the golf course. All the food was top notch. Don’t forget to the dessert.

We had a wonderful first experience tonight at The Plantation House. We were seated promptly at our reserved time. The decor is so clean and airy and comfortable. There really isn’t a bad seat in the restaurant. Our server was very warm and helpful, and she checked on us often. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. The seafood was all fresh, and the lamb chops were decadently tender and juicy. Parking was valet only.

We arrived 12/28 for our anniversary. Upon arriving, the hosts were extremely hospitable and even changed our table to an even better one with the best view of the house. Props to them! Bussers promptly greeted us and filled our waters. Which was also nice to see. We had Andrew as our server and my husband immediately felt weirded out by his service. He would talk for a bit then oddly walk off without saying anything, meanwhile families around us were having full on conversations with Andrew. We thought he was just busy but obviously, seemingly he had time to have full on conversations with the rest of the white families. We are Filipino locals who have visited Kapalua Plantation house regularly for special occasions. We found it odd as the service went further he was continuously dismissive. We came to the conclusion it was because we weren’t white and we were two men celebrating our anniversary. Another instance is where he oddly laughed when we kindly asked for our waters replaced because of the flies in them where he replied “you’re in Hawaii it’s expected” as he walked off. We’re locals so we know it’s expected but this is a fine dining restaurant where we have never been met with this kind of passive aggressiveness from a server here.
The last instance of our server being odd was how he passed the POS system for us to pay and said “to tap a button.” He then continued to hover over us EYEING our tip option, making sure we tipped. We tipped regardless of the odd aura and behavior of our server. We wished that that tip would go directly to the kitchen, hostesses, and the bussers as we found them more hardworking than our dismissive and odd server.
Food wasn’t as good as last year, maybe there are new chefs. Shrimp scampi was watery and barely had seasoning. My husband’s filet mignon was NOT well done and was medium rare. He lost his appetite and instead ate my food instead. Luckily I liked it MR. Atmosphere and the sunset view was the highlight!! All in all 3/5 for Food, 5/5 for Atmosphere, 2/5 for Service.

We had such a phenomenal experience at Plantation House for our honeymoon. The food, atmosphere and service were top tier. Lauren was such an attentive and pleasant server. She had great recommendations and made sure our night was special. The chef that curated this menu has a gift. Thank you for such an amazing night, one of the best meals we have had. Highly recommend the Lavender Whale (i substituted vodka for the gin it was amazing), scallops with added the lobster tail, my husband had the two fish special, then we both had dessert, creme brulee and cheesecake. Everything was spectacular! Not to mention the beautiful views! If you got to only one restaurant during your stay, go here.

Whilst staying locally the wife and I drove up to watch the sunset with cocktail in hand. We didn’t have dinner reservations, but there is a bar area with a restricted view. The actual golf course was closed (water problems), but the restaurant was quite full and the food looked good. The front of house was friendly and helpful, but the barman was a little surly. We would probably dine there if we went back to Maui, but I think the restaurant closes at 8pm so book early and hit the circa 6pm sunset!

Food was good overall, filet mignon under seasoned in our opinion. Vibes and views were great.
