Impressed. The food and service excellent. The cheese pizza slice was fresh, quality, flavorful, and pure NY Style love! The cheese steak was served on nice crisp bread and had an excellent flavor. And even the Greek Salad and house made dressing was pure delight as it was fresh and flavorful. A quality Italian restaurant. Reasonable prices. And great service. My experience was delightful!

Well…let’s start this off by saying Elizabeth’s is a small, but beautiful, hole-in-the-wall in Wilmington. It has charm, it has just the right lighting / ambience & replicates the feel of an old-school Ristorante, tucked away somewhere in an Italian neighborhood of New York or Chicago.

FOOD: Of the 3 dishes ordered, this review focuses on the Lobster Ravioli (Lobster Ravioli $11.99: Served in a homemade pink sauce). So…let’s get this clear, Lobster? Check. Nice…alright, now….ravioli? Mmmhmm…& w/ “homemade pink sauce” as the mystery flavor on this lobster ravioli? So…ok then. What is…”pink” sauce, exactly? I would find out a short time later. It appeared to be Elizabeth’s homemade marinara sauce w/ some cream & a light cheese blend mixed together in a pool of creaminess that can be eaten as a meal in itself…maybe a, bisque!?! Lol. It’s good, people. Plus, it was served w/ house bread & butter. I am not an expert nor connoisseur of breads & starches, but it was a light, Italian Bread which complimented the entree well. It served it’s main purpose as my scooping sponge to absorb Elizabeth’s pink sauce. That was my favorite combination of the meal. The pasta tasted fresh & as if it were made in-house. Maybe they have some imported in? Regardless, the pasta and flavor were nice. I only would have changed one of 2 things. I preferred a thinner sheet of pasta, nestled over the served lobster filling, so that I didn’t taste more pasta than sweet lobster meat….or, had more lobster filling to balance out the thickness of the rolled pasta. The lobster filling, itself, was good when I ate a couple of small bites with my fork but there were no lump pieces. However…this is $11.99, so I wasn’t expecting a ravioi w/ large bits of lobster, prepared by Italian chefs in Las Vegas. I understood that. The sauce was the best part with a smooth creamy blend of dairy into the marinara sauce. It was tasty. SCORE: 4 STARS!!

SERVICE: Shamir greeted my wife, son & I at the door, promptly upon entering. We were seated immediately, which was surprising due to it being Friday evening & the place was operating at full steam. The restaurant is also not tight…but it’s, cozy. Our server, Brittany (sp?) was pleasant, attentive & did well. When first asked what she recommended, she let us in on how it was just her first week so…it was time to just make our choices & gamble with our tastebuds. Lol. But overall, the service was nice & acceptable. SCORE: 4.4 STARS

OVERALL SCORE: Being that I ordered an $11.99 dinner entree, featuring lobster…and from a “Pizza” place, what else should I have expected? 🙂 I felt I received a good value. If the pasta is homemade, maybe shave back some of the ravioli’s thickness to make the lobster filling the focal point of the dish. But still, it was very good, a large portion & satisfyingly filling. That Pink Sauce y’all got going on there, is incredible though. I really enjoyed it. SCORE: 4.2 STARS!!

I visited Elizabeth’s last night with my wife and we had a great date. As my wife and I discussed where to eat dinner she became very excited when she thought about Elizabeth’s. I had never been, but she assured me it would be awesome. Apparently, it is a legendary local establishment.

We arrived around 8PM and it was busy, however, we were quickly seated. My wife commented that they must have expanded as they now have a full bar with additional seating.

Our server was quick, nice, and had a fun personality. The staff were all wearing fedoras or other types of hats. I thought it was cute.

The food and prices are very good. We ordered the garlic knots as a starter and when they brought them out I was surprised at how large and how many were on the plate. They had a nice pleasant taste and I liked how some were crispy.

My wife ordered a pineapple pizza slice and a salad for dinner. She loved the pizza and salad. I was surprised at the size of the pizza slice. It was like the kind you get in NY on the street. It was definitely big. I ordered a pepperoni calzone for my main dish. It was humongous. I only ate half of it and I took the other half home. It was really cheesy and the marinara sauce was tasty.

Our total was not very much for so much food and the great service. This restaurant definitely has a lot of bang for your buck.

There is quite a bit of free parking out front and when I went to wash my hands I saw the bathroom was in good shape. This is a nice local spot serving quality food at competitive prices. I will for sure come back.

The atmosphere here is great. The location was crowded which spoke volumes to me. The manager or owner truly interacted with me and all that walked through the door. I ordered a medium cheese pizza for the children and once I brought it back they loved it to the point I did not get a slice, lol. The price is great for all I ordered.

Pizza was hot and ready to go right when they said it would be finished. I appreciated that as a visitor. The crust was nice and crispy and chewy, but that’s about where it ends. Virtually no sauce to even speak of and the toppings were barely noticeable. I mean, I don’t expect the pizza to be covered, but there were fewer toppings on the pizza that I would get even with a grocery store frozen pizza. I have no idea why they are rated so high in the area. It tasted good, but the sauce didn’t even seem to be there and neither were the toppings. Big disappointment because my pizza absolutely did NOT look like any of the pies previously posted in photos.

Absolutely The best original Italian pizza in Wilmington! I have owned two Italian restaurants and I drive 20 miles to eat this delicious pizza at Elizabeth’s pizza. It’s in kind of a funky shopping center next to Asian food store, and it’s got lots of character! Great service, clean, good atmosphere. You would think you were in a New York pizzeria!

This is the “go to” place for family style Italian food and usually it’s an awesome experience, but today they sat a couple behind me and they we not only rude to each other but the lady was loud and yelling at the man for being stupid. The yelling and rudeness was uncomfortable.
This spoiled my appetite and I got everything to go.
Too bad because Chris and the staff are awesome!!!
