Mezzo is a hidden gem in Dublin downtown. Each and every single dish is exceptional and service is extremely good. The staff here are very welcoming and friendly. Our server was Dominic who took exceptionally good care of us. He was attentive, came back multiple times to check on us and helped us with everything we needed. The service was extremely fast. The ambience and environment was top notch. It was quiet, clean and tastefully decorated. The choice of food ans drinks were ample. We loved every bit of it and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We booked Mezzo for our wedding rehearsal dinner and my goodness, wow wow wow! We were in the Evergreen Room, which is beautiful and spacious. The staff did an excellent job serving us and were very friendly. The food was DELICIOUS! We loved that we were able to select multiple options for our guests to choose from. We worked with Erica to plan the seating arrangements and iron out final details – she was very timely in her responses, helpful in her feedback, and overall very pleasant to work with! This space is absolutely perfect for a wedding rehearsal dinner or any other private dining experience. The space is beautiful by itself, but it’s also a perfect canvas to add personal touches with florals and decor. The location is also amazing – we were able to walk over to a nearby brewery for a night cap, and our guests were blown away by the quaint aesthetic of the area. Absolutely so so happy with our experience with Mezzo, cannot recommend them enough!

A Night at Mezzo: Magnifico!
If you’re looking for a spot in Dublin that hits harder than a heavyweight prize fighter, look no further than Mezzo. Our friends Justin and Cheryl recently treated me and my absolute smoke show of a wife to a dinner that was, quite frankly, fuori dal mondo (out of this world).
The Antipasti (The Money Makers)
We kicked things off with the Brussels Sprouts and the Baked Feta. Let me tell you, these were absolute money. The kitchen clearly knows the secret to bilancio (balance).
* The Sprouts: Had that perfect charred bitterness, but with a sweet undertone that made them addictive.
* The Feta: Perfectly salty, but offset by a sweetness that made my taste buds do a little celebratory dance.
The Piatti Principali (The “Steal from Everyone” Phase)
When the mains hit the table, I transformed into a human vacuum. In the interest of “quality control,” I ate off everyone’s plate. Here’s the breakdown:
* Lasagna: Thick, rich, and layered like a dream.
* Carbonara: Creamy, peppery, and soulful.
* Mezzo Chicken & Chicken Piccata: Both were bursting with flavor in every single bite.
Bada bing, bada boom—if you know what I mean. This meal was so authentic it made me want to find my Italian grandma and give her a giant kiss on the cheek. Delizioso!
The Vibe & Service
The restaurant has ambiance for days. It’s upscale without being stuffy, making it the perfect backdrop for a double date. A huge shoutout to our waitress, who was a total pro—she had a sixth sense for hydration and never let our glasses go empty.
The Verdict
Whether you’re there for the vino or the pasta, Mezzo delivers. It’s the kind of place that leaves you full, happy, and plotting your return before you’ve even left the parking lot.

We love Mezzo. We had a reservation for 4:30pm and were seated promptly in the area we asked for. Alex was our server from the bar and she was great. The food came out promptly and we were able to order our fav appetizer from the lunch menu even though it was dinner.
One of my boys ordered off of the kids menu and had chicken and fries. The serving of fries was huge! My other had salmon and said it was great.
We love coming here and will be back.

A romantic Italian restaurant in the heart of historic downtown Dublin. The ambiance of this restaurant is posh without coming off as overly pretentious. It’s ideal for date night or large family gatherings/celebrations. I particularly appreciate how in addition to the traditional menu, Mezzo offers their own dedicated vegan menu—making everyone feel seen and welcomed!

Everything here was excellent! Our server, Dominick, was knowledgeable and charming. The vegan menu was wonderful because it offered a wide range of options. The gnocchi was SO GOOD! The apple pie dessert (I’m not sure if that’s what it was called), was delicious!
I only subtracted one star, and it was for the atmosphere. I like dim lighting, but Mezzo was just a little too dark. We had to strain to read the menu. The only other problem was that some of the other diners were a little loud. I had to sit right next to my friend to hear her, which wasn’t a problem, but it could’ve been if we were in a larger group. I didn’t deduct any stars for this because there isn’t much the restaurant can do about it (maybe installing noise-absorbing panels on the walls would help?). It’s a restaurant, not a library. Also, these observations are based on my experience dining there once and my personal preferences. Maybe someone else will think the lighting and sound are fine. I don’t know. But I’m sure they’ll love the food!

The food is great! I loved the baked feta and the spaghetti & meatballs, the Kale salad has excellent flavor too, in the other hand, the New York is delicious with the sides. The sangría and paloma with good flavor. The tiramisú is great! The place is nice and modern with low and warm light. The restroom is nice and clean and the service kind. The patio is pet friendly and they bring water to my dog.

We visited Mezzo as a double date on a Saturday around 5:00 and it wasn’t too busy however I do recommend a reservation so you can sit in the main room. We were seated in the back room which was pretty empty. The service was great and food was very good as well. We ordered a variety of food and enjoyed it all.

Made reservations (highly recommend reservations) for a birthday dinner. The menu was amazing. There were six of us and we all enjoyed the dishes we had. Wine was great and they gave a free dessert for our family member celebrating a birthday. We will def be coming back!

I was in Dublin for a conference. Walked in on a Wednesday evening and got seated right away, even though most tables were already reserved. Service was efficient, friendly and informed. Ambiance is just formal enough without being stuffy. But the food was absolutely *outstanding*. I had the arancina as an appetizer, and I can tell you with no exaggeration, I’ve been all over the world and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Order this. The gnocchi with short rib was also excellent. I highly recommend this place. Just make a reservation, as it seems quite popular.
