Walking into this bar was a walk back in time. For some good, for others, bad. I kind of liked it. The bartender, who I believed was the owner, was a bit overwhelmed with taking care of the bar, the bar dining area and taking care of the drinks for the servers in the dining room. If he just would have let a server from the dining area take the tables out in the bar area…he would have been fine. My female companion ordered her drink and I was told I had to wait (food was ready and he had to get it out–the right call). Came back to me and I ordered my drink and said we would like menus. He said he had to check with the kitchen as we did not have reservations. I understand. Can’t swamp the kitchen, especially if they have a lot of reservations. We were able to order and we wanted to make it simple so we both got sandwiches and fries. My sandwich was actually two sliders, which was not how it was depicted on the menu. Food was good though, but for the price and what I thought I was getting, three sliders usually = sandwich. Anyway, we waited for our check and paid/left. Bottom line- he was a little frazzled/had too much to do. It is also tourist season so… Food was good and we did not have any of their higher end items, which I would definitely be willing to go back and try (with a reservation).
