Mooove over Mendocino, There’s a new Cafe in town… But for really though. My family and I absolutely love Mendocino Farms. We’ve incorporated it into our monthly rotations, and have our favorite menu items already. However, today we stumbled across the Urbane Cafe location on Western Ave in San Pedro/Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. And boy are we stoked. Not only were the employees fun and joyful, but the menu options are far more robust and the prices are very competitive. There are at least 4 sandwiches and 4 salads that I’d like to try off the rip. My wife went with the seasonal Moroccan Jewel salad and I went with The Cafe salad and the Chimichurri steak sandwich. The food came out quick and everything was fresh. We watched the bread literally come out of the oven while we waited. Michelle, Valerie, and Tim (the baker) were all so helpful with answering all of my “what’s your favorite” questions and seemed super genuine with their answers. My wife really loved that they use real dishes and we both agree that Urbane is now added to our monthly rotation. If you have a location near you and haven’t tried it yet. Treat yourself. I’m a pescatarian so it’s difficult to find a quick, high quality meal. I discovered Urbane Cafe when it opened in RPV. I now eat there 1-2 times/week. The seared ahi salad is excellent. They have something for everyone, even my carnivore T-Rex wife. The service is also excellent, and the employees are super nice. It’s easy to customize your menu selection. I’ve eaten there for Lunch and Dinner.

Minimum vegan, but clearly marked. The general manager Christian is super nice and helpful (see photo). Great service, eat outdoors on a sunny day. Atmosphere: piped in elevator music at medium volume. The sweet chili crunch tofu was tasty. Even vegan cheese on salad. Yummy.

The service was amazing from start to finish. Christian was an absolute pleasure—super helpful, friendly, and so fun to talk to. It’s rare to find someone who makes the whole visit feel that welcoming!

We just moved to this area and this place just popped up as well. We tried it. My goal is to try everything on the menu. It’s delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They have pure cane sugar in their sodas and different unique styles of soda.

My family and I love this restaurant! This is my second time here in just a couple of weeks. The food tastes so fresh! Ahi tuna salad was very yummy, the fish wasn’t cross cut and was so tasty! This time I ordered salmon salad and I can’t wait to taste it! The staff is very friendly.

As far as comfort, the dining area is similar to a fast food dining spot, and there is some outdoor seating available, bu.
Although they weren’t that busy, they were still several dirty tables, not sure if it’s because they’re filling online orders or if they’d had a rush right before we got there ♀️
I would go back, because the food was just that good and it was fairly quick. I didn’t realize the chicken that I ordered to go in my salad would be cold cut chicken breast and not grilled. I guess I need to pay more attention to the menu next time.

I love coming to this urban cafe!! I got the pleasure to speak with josh who placed my order over the phone and even though I have a complicated order he executed it perfectly. valerie also made my experience amazing I really appreciate her coming to me and making sure my food was to my standards.
