Anytime I pass through this region, this isba must stop. The place is nothing special, not a hidden Ruth’s Chris or anything like that. It is simply a great, authentic Mexican restaurant, great food, decent value, and the service is great. Julia was our server this trip, and she spoiled us. The photo is their ultimate nachos, with shredded chicken and hamburger, with a load of goodies and extras. On US Hwy 69, the 2nd Chekota exit, across the street from the Pilot Flying J truck stop. Give them a try, you won’t regret it.

Pretty good food but they mix up orders and fail to bring everything that comes with an order till you ask for it. This happened two visits in a row (December & February). I’m going to keep looking to find my new “favorite” Mexican restaurant.

The food here is delicioso .. as soonest you order you get your food calientita.. plates are pretty well serve, best in town… definitely one of my favorites places to stop n eat como Dios manda… excellent customer service come by and enjoy… Real Mexican Food.. thank you for cooking so delicioso.

I’m From Laredo TX where fajitas and authentic Mexican meals are prepared. Been on the road with my truck driver Husband for 4 days so far had not had a good warm meal. I ordered two crispy beef flautas rice and beans. My husband ordered beef milanesa rice and beans.
All I asked the cashier was if she could change the rice to veggies. She suggested I make it a dinner plate which has salad and avocado. Believe me we will not stop by to eat there no more. Crispy flautas are made wrapped fried corn tortillas. I got 4 beef tacos wrapped and soaked flour tortillas I didn’t have no rice no veggies. My husband’s meal was grilled steak not a battered steak which is milanesa , $30 for a plate to go n no drinks. Not good.

My family and I (3) came in on Sunday night around 8pm and it was a little busy but not bad. When the server brought out our order the plates where not even hot all 3 of us had cold food I wasn’t feeling the best so I didnt say anything to the server but that would have been hard also because they never came back to check on us. I paid 46 dollars for cold food and bad services. I will not be back.
