I dont know why this restaurant does not have a 5* rating. The food was delicious and came out pretty quick. My salmon had a perfect amount of crunch and the sauce. Oh, the sauce was so good it almost made me lick it off the plate. Shrimp and grits were amazing, sides superb. Wow, if i could give it a 100 for a rating. I definitely would.

You know it’s a great place when there is a line of retirees at lunch, me included.
Great food, great atmosphere, lots of smiles and Dale’s on the go is great to take home and pot in the oven for a quick and delicious dinner.

I didn’t think saute onions can be difficult to make. Especially in a restaurant setting. I mean you work as a cook there because you can. The food had no seasoning, bland worse than hospital food. I’m glad I know never to buy here again. Fried liver that can tear your gums, and I have never tasted cornbread stuffing this bland in my entire adulthood. So disappointed!

Absolutely atrocious, utterly disgusting and supremely disappointing!! Do not advertise a steak menu and then deliver me a piece of shoe leather with a shard of tomato lazily leaning on my steak. Not to mention whoever cooked the last bit of life out what was heralded as a RARE “Filet Mignon”. Do not threaten me with a delicious steak if you do not understand how a thermometer works. Interestingly, I should have been tipped off by the red flag of “special sauce” that was chucked onto the plate as an apparent apology for incompetence.
If you’re here for a bad time, don’t be here for a long time. Go to the seafood restaurant down the strip from this southern hell hole and enjoy food with flavor and care.
I sincerely regret ever setting foot in this establishment.

We love Dale’s! The menu covers all the bases of anything you could want. There aren’t very many places that serve liver and this is my go to place when I have that craving. It’s always tender. The green beans and corn are seasoned well and the yeast roll is like heaven in your mouth. My husband enjoyed his seafood sampler and had a difficult time picking a favorite. The shrimp was spicy enough without being over
powering. The service is impeccable! Drinks are kept full and they check to make sure food is to your liking.

For my MIL’s 88th birthday, my wife and I met her parents at this great eatery. I know you’re probably thinking based on location ‘how good can it be?’ But you’d be mistaken as was I. I was shocked at the flavorful entrees, the sides, the desserts! Must try Dales IF you’re in Hoover.

We met some friends here to celebrate his birthday. This was our first time dining here, but they dine here frequently. The menu is extensive and quite a selection of sides to choose from. I ordered the Classic Southern breakfast, but selecting a side item was difficult. I ultimately decided on buttered grits with cheddar cheese. Of course, there is an upcharge for the cheese. My wife ordered the house salad with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were excellent, but we would have preferred the sweet potato fries without the cinnamon. We are looking forward to trying other entrees and side items the next time we visit.

We went there on Thursday. We ordered two waters and one coffee for beverages.The waitress brought out the waters and a sweet tea. We ordered two burgers with fries. Waitress brought out one burger with fries and one sliders order with fries. The sliders were taken back and correct burger brought out. When we received the bill, all three orders were on the bill. They did correct it and take sliders off that were never ordered. The red velvet cake was warm and dry. The waitress spoke very little English . It was a dissappointing dinning experience. I recommend checking your receipt and paying cash.
