I stayed at a Hilton Hotel and had a quick dinner snack and breakfast there. For dinner, I had bread and the soup of the day (tomato), which was really tasty — simple, but very enjoyable. I’d definitely order that again.

For breakfast, I chose Eggs Benedict with a small fruit salad. It was okay, but nothing particularly memorable, and the portions felt quite small.

Overall, dinner was a highlight for me and something I’d come back for, while breakfast was decent but not especially outstanding.

I am sure this once was the place to be, but that wasn’t the case when me and my besties dined there together this NYE.

As I walked into the entry way, there was litter and piles of leaves everywhere around all the tables. I understand it is winter and all, and no one usually sits outside on the veranda, but it has been unseasonably nice. So, my thought is that the daytime constituents should not have to contend with such a disarray. Keeping up a business’s curb appeal or aesthetics of a place outside and inside is very pertinent.

Once inside the front door, I was greeted almost immediately. I exclaimed I had arrived for my 6 party reservation—my apologies to the staff b/c I was without 3 of my party due cancelation.

I think it’s off putting that your wait staff didn’t introduce themselves, our waiter and waitress didn’t tell us their names, nor were they wearing a name-tag. Also they didn’t make us aware of any chef specials or what the kitchen was out of either. As we began our order, suddenly they were out of the Guinness-Brined Pork Chop b/c the chef didn’t have time to cut more…what??? Then my best friend ordered the Pan Seared Salmon, it was the same thing, they were out. So, it was a Classic Caesar Salad for my bestie, and I just ordered the Marinated Roasted Airline Chicken with grilled broccolini. Not to lie, it was pretty tasty, but I really wanted the pork chop and my best friend wanted the salmon instead.

Our waitress was aloof the entire night, she didn’t get my drink order right…besides she didn’t even do the bare minimal like refilling our waters, not once—even though we asked.

It’s doubtful that we will return or recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely fabulous Mother’s Day brunch at Forge! My daughters and I had the best time celebrating. The food was next-level—everything from shrimp, crabcakes, chicken & waffles, and a loaded charcuterie board, to eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, and the dreamiest hash brown casserole. Don’t even get me started on the desserts—they were out of this world! Moms even got a complimentary mimosa, and the mimosa flights were so fun to try.

The ambiance is beautiful. The hotel lobby is stunning and perfect for snapping a few pics—great lighting and decor. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better.

I shared some photos from our day on my page—would love if you gave them a like and followed along as I grow my page! Thanks, Forge, for making Mother’s Day so special.

Probably worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Got to The Forge 2 minutes after our reservation time and ended up waiting 30+ minutes for a table. (Which I tried to be considerate sense Ive worked as a waitress my whole life, but non the less terrible service) Finally get to our table, and were told it’s a fixed menu and price, and we were never told that when booking our reservation. We had already looked at the menu days in advanced and were so excited for this restaurant. The fixed menu consisted of 3 options that were very limiting, and was $75 per person. When we explained the situation to our server, Sarah, she was very understanding and told it was ok, and we left with extreme disappointment. (Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I feel so bad for taking a table from the server) Could’ve been a different situation entirely if we were notified that the menu would be changing for the night of Valentine’s day. Will not come back ever again and feel very sorry for the individuals that also got stuck in this odd situation. My advice is to call and confirm it’s the same menu, or don’t eat here; not worth the lack of service or price!

Had Breakfast here with my wife while staying at the hotel. Service was very prompt, food was delicious but small portioned. More of an upscale restaurant for breakfast. The ambiance was very fancy and sleek. My steak & eggs were really good and well seasoned I just wish there was more of it for the price. Same goes for the eggs benedict that my wife had. We went the following day and the restaurant had a 45 min wait which was disappointing. All that to say if I was in town again would dine here again.

Dined on a Friday at 7 pm. We were greeted by a please seat yourself sign and no hostess. The restaurant was practically empty, it took a while for anyone to acknowledge us. The atmosphere was not overly appealing and it was very bright in the restaurant/hotel lobby we dined in. The waitress had no idea about the wine list or even how to pronounce them. The duck pastrami was delicious but besides that the food was very marginal. My chimichuri tasted slightly rancid, the local mushrooms had an overwhelming flavor of dirt, my date’s steak was severely over cooked and the menu just tasted bland. I would not recommend.

WOW! I booked this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. From the hostess to our waiter and even the manager — everyone went above and beyond to make us feel special. The table was set with beautiful flowers and candles, and the staff had a handwritten card waiting for us. The service was impeccable and we 100% recommend this place to others. We ordered the steak frites, tofu bowl, and Mac n cheese. Every bite was flavorful! Big thank you to the whole Forge team for making our anniversary so special!

This place is right near warehouse row. Very nice ambience and design. On Friday night they had a jazz trio band that was perfect.

I got the salmon dish. Salmon was really well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice was butttery and yummy. The broccolini wasn’t seasoned however.

My husband got the ny strip. It came with potatoes and peas. And compound butter on the steak. He asked for medium but it came well. The dish was lacking in flavor and sauce unfortunately.

They could step it up with inventiveness in general. But the quality of ingredients was great.

Ps- the apple dessert was 5⭐️

This is a “twofer” review. First meal was breakfast. Greeted by Ronnie. Engaging, bubbly, great way to start the day.. Restaurant was a ghost town which was Surprising! I ordered eggs Benedict. Cardinal rule, never order eggs Benedict from a hotel restaurant….except this one! Excellent!. Perfect poach and presentation. Excellent seasoning! Ask for the fried watermelon as a side. Honest. Best mistake they ever made.! Wonderful. Might be the best kept breakfast secret in Chattanooga.
Dinner: ordered duck pastrami appetizer. Good but a little lacking. Would benefit from a little more “duck” flavor. Micro greens were a perfect. Crisp, fresh. Duck pastrami needed a little more fat. Dressing overpowered the duck. Excellent presentation. This is a good appetizer to share , not because its too big, just easy and tasty.

Entrée: NY strip with baked potato. Steak was perfectly cooked. Tender, juicy. I ordered mine with a morel butter topping. Morel butter was too salty. Chef agreed! Baked potato was perfectly cooked.

Dessert: Crème brûlée! Y’all, it tastes like Saturday morning cartoons and Trix cereal milk. You have to get this. Not so rich that you can’t eat the whole thing. It really is the best dessert!.

Servers: Ashlyn. Can’t say enough about her service. She and her colleague, Sarah were, Excellent! Attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Ashlyn has actually tried several of the menu items. Ask her opinion. She’s spot on! Won’t steer you wrong. I’ll be back for sure!
