As most-time RVers traveling the U.S. and Canada in search of the best cheeseburgers, we use our Dawg Haus Rating System: The Best (only one earns this), Very Good, Good, OK, and Not Impressed. Shake Shack is often listed among the top burger spots, so while in St. Louis we gave it a try. We both had the single ShackBurger with 100% Angus beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun, plus an order of crinkle fries to share. Service was good and the food came out piping hot. The burgers lean toward the smash-style with a nicely seasoned patty, a well-grilled bun that was properly sized and didn’t overwhelm the burger, and condiments that worked well together. We usually don’t like crinkle fries, but these were crisp and nicely done. Burger rated Very Good, fries Good. Next time we’d go for a double and try the onion rings.

“K-style burger” made me expect a spicy chicken burger, but it was more like a light soy/teriyaki flavor instead. The sauce portion was very small, and there were barely any vegetables. I was a bit disappointed. I’d recommend just ordering a regular burger. The chicken itself was spicy and actually pretty good!

The staff was so freaking friendly. They all congratulated my son on his wrestling victory (we had never been here and don’t live by here) . The food and shakes were good. Wasn’t a fan of the chicken nuggets but I’m very picky. Would definitely recommend over other shake shacks we have been to.

This is what my double burger looked like after deconstructing to see where the avocado was that I paid extra for and why it tasted so dry. There was also almost no house sauce in the burger. I’m just wondering how i paid $25 for a burger, fries and tip.

I love the “order at the kiosk option” here as well as the ease of selection. The atmosphere was fun, including some game tables and the food was better than I had expected. The double Bacon Avocado Burger that I ordered was terrific thick veggies, crisp lettuce, crisp bacon and two fully cooked patties, although you can definitely tell it’s processed cheese on the burger. The Shake Sauce is incredible and unique, a great addition to both the BBQ cheese fries and the burger.

It was kinda confusing. Ordered online, while on the way I received a text saying my order was almost complete. Go to the pick up window and look for my name. I get there no bags are waiting. I assumed it wasn’t ready. I sat and waited. Long story short, I realized, I had to ask for it. That meant my order had been sitting for an unknown amount of time. The burger was lukewarm and the fries were not quite cold, but cool. I checked the box for ketchup and sauce on the side, none was in the bag. This was my second location, so far for the price I have yet to be impressed by the taste and service. I won’t say it’s not worth trying because the food wasn’t horrible, but maybe sitting in would make the difference.

More spacious than the Central West End location. Also fairly clean. A child spilled water near the condiments station and it was not cleaned immediately, so someone might have slipped if they weren’t looking. Burgers were the usual taste. We also tried the Avocado Bacon Chicken for a change, and that was good too.
Only complaint was that it took 25 minutes to get our food, even though there were only a few people dining in. I guess they prioritize orders for pick up. So will probably not come back for dine in.

The food is amazing and is decently priced but the service is awful. The last 3 times ive been two of the times my order has been made wrong. Which on itself is maybe excusable if I get a replacement, but both times ive had to re order my order for full price. Its ridiculous. I have a picture of a burger and a receipt that says “no sauce, tomato, lettuce, etc” and the burger has all of those things. Genuinley ridiculous

Shake Shack is Shake Shack and the taste is fairly the same in all locations. I ordered ahead so I was expecting the food to be ready by the estimated time. I arrived a bit after that as well but it was not. The place wasn’t too busy or crowded so I was surprised that it still took a bit for my order to be ready.

Service is ridiculous slow and everyone working there has an attitude. I don’t underhand why I get a text telling me my food is ready only to spend another 10 min waiting for somewhere to bring it out. There was hardly a line and we got stuck waiting and waiting.we have had a better experience both in service and speed in other places so this so very disappointing.
