This place is terrible. The soda fountain is always out or broken. They don’t have any sauces available. Tables are always dirty and the staff is rude. Please visit the central and 235 location for better food and service. I believe the original owner is in charge of the central location which is why it’s so much better.

They honestly make food the way they are feeling that day. It is a hit and miss. NEVER CONSISTENT! This shrimp cocktail was absolutely disgusting. Smelled like nothing but onions when I always ask for no onions on my cocktail and had avocado skin in this as well. Just nasty. The juice consistency was so think like it was all canned tomato sauce. They need to train their cooks to provide the same service everyday! I don’t recommend to anyone honestly. I rather drive 15 min to El Rancho where their food is ALWAYS THE SAME!

Ordered food to go and when I got home discovered they burned the taco shells. Disappointed that the cook knew and still let me walk out with it. Usually the food is really good but it was barely a little after 9pm and I was the only person there ordering to go. Horrible this time around.

First off we have never been here before and when we waked in it was extremely cold and we didn’t know if we had to seat ourselves. Ordered rolled tacos and they were literally taquitos! No flavor! The queso was so bland. Doritos nachos looked like something made in 2 min at home. Got my grandson chicken nuggets and it was Dino nuggets like we buy him at Walmart. Only shining star was the churros. Very disappointed and won’t be back.

Omg worst Mexican food ever! The only ones we saw were SOUR PUSSES…NO personality. We ordered our food and the cashier didn’t bother to give me my change. It was only 75 cents so I let it slide. Our tacos were double fried. The shells and pulled beef in them, were completely burnt. I ordered a tamale and it too was dried out and rubbery. The salsa had been frozen and was so hot we could not eat it.
Won’t be back. Bad reviews go alot farther than good. Do better Renee’s.

If you’re going to put more carrots and onions than anything else in your burritos, at least have the decency to SHRED not PEEL the massive amount of them and the other truckload of onions and frozen bell peppers should be if not shredded, at least diced or chopped. Eating that “Shredded beef burrito was quite the challenge.

The atmosphere and all was overall heavy, the girls attending were really rude as well. My family member asked where the utensils were at and she responded with “Right infront of you, can’t you see them?” I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Drinks are filled with more ice than the actual beverage. The ceiling is also falling apart throughout the whole restaurant. The most disappointing part was how unprofessional the girls were. Staff should we trained to be more polite + respectful to the customers.

My wife and I used to be regulars at Rene’s, but after a noticeable decline in food quality and the restaurant’s continued overreliance on single‑use plastics, we’ve decided to take our business elsewhere. I’ve ordered the carne asada burrito for years, yet my last few meals have tasted increasingly bland and stale. The drop in quality was so severe that (even after going an entire day without eating) I couldn’t bring myself to finish my meal.
On top of this, Rene’s uses more plastic than any other local eatery I can think of. I understand it’s a fast‑food establishment, but placing a plastic bag inside another plastic bag, both wrapped around a Styrofoam container filled with even more plastic packaging, cups, and utensils, is unacceptably wasteful.
I want to support local businesses, but until Rene’s prioritizes the quality of their food over the amount of plastic they package it in, my family will be going elsewhere.

Felt a bit weird ordering, but the food was good. Took it to-go since no alcohol served there and had Modello at home. Tresleches was great! Took forever to eat the burritos , they were so dang temperature hot, but were great!
