It was my first time eating at one of these places and will definitely be my last. There is absolutely zero smoke flavor to their brisket it does slightly smell smoky does have a very thin bark and even a red smoke ring on one side of the meat but not the other but zero smoke flavor. This is definitely cooked in the oven they get some kind of smoke on it somehow but it is not barbecue. The sauce is off-putting sweet and taste like cloves. The potato salad is like what you buy at HEB in the deli section so I’m not mad with that I’ll eat that all day. The cream corn was pretty good too. The portion was surprisingly okay however I don’t care how big of a portion of oven brisket you give me i’m not going to want it. I don’t know much about Moe but I know he should be ashamed of himself.

Sausage was good. Burnt ends – a little too sweet. Brisket…. they gave leftovers? They cut off the outside and left half meat/half fat. Flavor is in th bark or skin of the brisket. Seems more expensive/less quality than other bbq places. Do not recommend.

Always the same delicious food. I order every Monday. The baked potatoes fully loaded is my favorite. I also catered from Smokey MO’s at Thanksgiving.
Was not disappointed. Delicious!!!
I love the drive- thru lady who is always happy to see me. Makes my day.
The entire staff is always friendly and welcoming. Love this place.

Ordered the deluxe family platter, fed 4 people so easily and we’ll have leftovers for a couple days!! Every single thing we tried was BOMB. Delicious. Moist brisket was hitting just right. The chicken was just how it should be, tender and smoky, fall off the bone. Also, juiciest turkey I’ve had from a bbq joint- highly recommend. Three side choices were Potato Salad, Mac n Cheese, and Creamed Corn. My favorite was the Creamed Corn- idk what they do but it’s something special haha. Well, there’s my super long, super honest review, this place smacks. Come to THIS location and you’ll see what I mean!

Love this local BBQ place. They food is always good and consistently good. We do have to ask for extra pickles & onions and I do wish they could come up with a better way to serve them (those plastic bags are too hard to open). But that is a minor thing. We usually end up taking home a bottle of their BBQ sauce. So good! We love the smoked chicken and also the brisket the best, but everything we have tried is great.

BBQ was at a good hot temp as well as the sides. Cream corn is chunky and slightly sweet. I prefer it to be more creamy than chunky. Beans were great. Pickles are packed very strange and difficult to open. Wish they had the option for Mexican rice and fries. Over all very good experience and better than the other location off 410 and military area. Prices are reasonable and servings are good for the price. 1/3 lb each meat for the plates. I got sausage and lean brisket. Brisket was still juicy, warm and tasty. Sausage was great too.

Overall, good bbq. The brisket was very lean and sliced thinly. Sausage was great. The creamed corn is very sweet and the potato salad was flavorful. A big downfall was how the pickles and onions are given. Literally received 3 pickles in each bag, and diced onion which seemed like the leftover pieces. Usually onions at other bbq places are sliced not diced. Only one bbq sauce flavor available and 2 slices of bread given with each meal.

Brisket was excellent but at $ 120.00 for a 4 person take out order (3 lbs)-no brisket is worth $40/lb. The 4 sides you get with the family order are single serving-cup size. They ruined the creamed corn by putting cheese in it. Maybe in Austin the price is OK or Los Angeles-but here-way better prices at nearly everywhere else and much bigger portions..

The funny thing we had trouble entering through the door. We couldn’t find it? When you get there, it’s all the way to your right. Parking good, service good and food okay. It was a little dry than other bbq places but worth trying.
