Really delicious Mexican food can be had here and for me personally, it’s the best in town, bar none. It is a bit off the interstate if you’re looking for a quick meal but honestly, it’s totally worth it. In fact, my wife and I always make it a point to stop in for lunch or dinner any time we make our way out to Idaho or Utah and funny enough, we only recently realized they have a location out in Reno as well. Service is always fast and friendly and the atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. I should note they do have a very nice bar and outdoor dining with a lovely fountain in the middle of it as well. Another thing worth pointing out is that they have an extensive menu of which, we’ve had a variety of their burritos, chimichanga, enchilada and “most famous” chiles rellenos and having grown up in Southern California, I can tell you that all of them are super tasty and what I would expect out there. Need I say, I highly recommend this place!

Speak loud and clear when you order, the music makes it hard for the waitress to hear your correct order. Food was great, do not get the horchata or ice tea. Service is not what we expected for how many people were here, but maybe it was too many for them.

We were passing through and wanted Mexican food so we picked this restaurant and were not disappointed! The food was delicious and the portions are huge! The only thing is they bring you chips and no salsa which we’ve never seen before. You had to actually order salsa if you want it. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating.

I really enjoyed this Mexican restaurant. I had the steak and chicken fajitas. They come with lots of onions and peppers, and it wasn’t too greasy. The steak was a little tough, but the chicken was excellent. I liked both salsas they served, but my chips were a bit stale. Overall our meal was delicious.

We traveled to the area to visit family. We picked up lunch on the way out of town and it was a dream come true! I got chicken tacos and the seasoning was so mouth watering! Beyond the food, the staff was amazing. We were greeted warmly, and right into a cozy calming restaurant. We will be back just for this place!

My husband, myself and our grown son, drove through Winnemucca on our return from Minnesota. We looked for a good restaurant and a small bar we visited told us about this wonderful place. The restaurant is welcoming and homey. The lunch dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious. And no one would ever complain you will leave hungry. The staff and owners were so friendly and welcoming. If we ever drive through that town again, that will definitely be the restaurant we will stop to eat.

This was a disappointing experience after the good reviews. I can say that the staff we very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was fun. They seemed to be under staffed and or a bit disorganized. Our food came out a little on the cool side. We got steak fajitas – no sizzle. The steak was tough and kind of “gray”. The chorizo casa was tasty, even though it was not meaty at all by the time we got it. I’ll probably try this place again – every place can have an off night.

Ordered a chicken enchiladas meal with green sauce and another one with red sauce and both of them were DELICIOUS!!
It didn’t look like the portion sizes were going to be big enough, but they were exactly the right amount to feel satisfied because at Chihuahuas we’re always satisfied!
We were a bit disappointed by the fried ice cream because it tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge long enough to either pick up the smell or it was freezer burned which was a let-down. That won’t stop us from coming back though!
