Looks can be deceiving. Nice enough restaurant with beautiful decor. I came into the restaurant right after checking into the hotel. I was told that the kitchen closed at 10:30pm by both the front desk and the restaurant’s bartender. I guess that’s not actually true because I was told it closes at 10:15pm when I tried to order a slice of chocolate cake at 10:15. Then told that the cook had to leave early and that’s why it was closed. The food itself was nothing to brag about. I had the pork chop, Mac & cheese, and coleslaw. The coleslaw and Mac & cheese were clearly store bought. Besides the food being very unimpressive, the idea that warming up a frozen chocolate cake slice was too much trouble demonstrates the quality (or lack of) customer service at the restaurant. Overall, great stay at the hotel itself, but DEFINITELY eat elsewhere or have something delivered.

Genuinely some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Clearly just frozen reheated stuff, like bad school cafeteria-level stuff. I had an egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuit was pitiful, flat, and dry. The eggs were rubbery. The cheese looked like a Kraft single. And it was like $12. Insane. The person next to me got the chicken and waffle biscuit. It was literally just reheated frozen chicken tenders on the same kind of sad biscuit I had. Apparently they were also gross.
I’m pretty easy to please. Check my other reviews, I rarely rate places under 4 stars. But nothing could redeem this food.
The staff is great, everyone was very nice and helpful. The vibe of the place is very nice and cool. The food was just god awful, especially for the price. Wish I’d just gone to McDonald’s for breakfast. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I’m surprised at the Google rating, because I felt everything was great. My Uber driver recommended this place, so I gave it a try. I’m here for business, so I sat at the bar. The place is nice and quaint. The menu had a wide variety for a boutique location. The beer on tap is local, and the IPA was very good.
I ordered chicken-pot-pie and pecan pie for dessert. Nothing healthy, and it was all very, very good. They advertise as southern comfort food, and did not disappoint.
They were slow when I went, so the chef came out and chatted with patrons.
I’m definitely going to hit this place up the next time I’m in Richmond.

The space is really pretty and the servers and line cook are as nice as can be, but the menu has been really scaled back from a couple years ago, just plain options like chicken sandwich and burger, no “southern food with a twist” like they used to have. Hopefully as the world goes back to normal they’ll pick up enough traffic to start bringing back the old menu.

Only had breakfast once here and a few evening drinks another time. Drinks are great! A bit pricey, but that was expected. The breakfast was nothing special. The buffet did not include everything the menu stated and what it did have was cold. Coffee was alright.
