We decided to give this place a go today & that was a huge mistake. I ordered a bean tostada & cheese enchilada because it’s hard for any Mexican restaurant to get those wrong. My husband got a small combination. The tostada was on a flour tortilla, which tasted terrible. The cheese enchilada was basically inedible. It was mostly just dry (not good) tortilla. The sauce & cheese were not integrated. My husband disliked all of his food. Our waitress seemed very angry & made eye contact when we were clearly done but wouldn’t stop scrolling on her phone to bring our check. We went & asked for it after several minutes of waiting & she just angrily handed it over, didn’t say a word. The food was disgusting & so was the service.

Not the best I’ve had. I ordered a taco salad and the guacamole was brown and my salad smelled of spoiled lettuce, the greasy yucky just was coming out of the bottom of the shell. Not good.
Then I ordered a cheese enchilada and quite frankly it really wasn’t any better. That’s where my grandson wanted to spend his 12th birthday with family. It wasn’t ready for our crowd. Will not be going back.
P.S I was not the only one in our group who was disappointed.

This restaurant and location used to be very good. Smothered burritos were good . The last couple of times that I had a smothered burrito. It was smothered. hardly any smothered green chili. And the price of a smothered burrito went up. I am a long time customer for La Puente. I don’t think I will go back.

When I arrived to pickup my large Togo order, I was surprised it wasn’t as much as I thought it should’ve been. There was a miscommunication on my part, but the hostess did a wonderful job clarifying what was missing and getting it made for me very fast.
All I can think about is how good those enchiladas were though! Thank you!

First off, they don’t have an online platform so you can’t see the food they offer or the prices. I have often wanted to order pick up from there but they make it impossible to do so, so they’re losing money on that front. Even taco trucks in the area have an online presence and a menu that you can check out.
But I finally got to stop in, the lunch specials we’re super expensive. The food was okay but below the other “La” restaurants in the valley. I’ve seriously been interested in eating and digging this place but , when you see a menu from 18 months ago and see the lunch prices compared to what they are now, then it’s hard to justify going there when the food is below fountain and frontera.

I ordered a two cheese enchiladas meal. I got one big flour tortilla stuffed with refried beans and chili Verde. No cheese. This place is horrible with take out orders. Double check your food! And you can’t talk to the store manager about your order because her front desk staff said she only speaks Spanish. I’ll be sticking to my usual location off 9000 S. Redwood. The food quality and service us so much better 10 stars above this location.

We used to come here quite a bit a couple of years ago. Today we decided to stop by for lunch. Food was good for the price but service was non existent. The lady w drinks didn’t even greet us. Nor did the waitress. When the food came she just threw the plates down like it was a hassle. She never came back to check on us. I ordered potato tacos for my girls and ther charged more for less food and it wasn’t even what I ordered. They made chicken ones. I would never go back here again. Just do take out if you must.

The food was delicious but we got given the wrong order twice. Then the staff was kind but very poor. It took forever for us to order, forever to get the food, then it was wrong, then we had to fight for our fries (and they didn’t give us a lot) and again very long to get the bill. The host was very kind but definitely over worked.

My family ate here last night. The food honestly tasted a little funky. Like maybe it was old or expired. Both my mom and me ordered smothered burritos and we were up all night sick to our stomachs. Luckily, my kids were fine because they ordered nachos and Mac & cheese and fries. Our server seemed a little grumpy as well. Would not recommend.
