I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. First it was uncomfortably warm in there. The service was rather slow. A table of six that were seated several minutes after us and they got their food first. We got the bacon wrapped scallops which were good but one of mine had sand in it. We ordered the seafood platter but instead of getting Cajun shrimp we got more bacon wrapped scallops. The lobster was delicious and the bartender made awesome drinks. It was my daughter’s birthday so she got a complimentary dessert. We got it to go and when we opened the box it looked like a truck drove over it. Not terrible but not great either.

Lock, Stock & Barrel never disappoints! The salad bar is one of the freshest I’ve ever had—crisp greens, great toppings, and everything beautifully stocked. The steak was absolutely excellent, cooked just the way I like it, tender and full of flavor. And the salmon? Cooked to perfection. Flaky, seasoned just right, and truly delicious.

From start to finish, everything was amazing. Highly recommend!

Not impressed with the service at Lock, Stock & Barrel. The place could use better cleaning, especially the bathrooms. Also, by 7 PM they were already out of desserts from the menu, which was disappointing. That said, the steak was great quality and well cooked

A classic. This place has been around forever. If you want to fill up on the cheap, just grab the salad and soup bar, it’s incredible. The beef stew is literally a meal, packed with beef, and the clam chowder is outstanding, especially considering Idaho isn’t known for its oceans. The steaks were awesome, the sides incredible, crab cakes were a bit off, the shrimp were excellent, but the service can be a bit spotty. Don’t be surprised if they forget what you ordered or if you have to chase down your check. It’s a staple, though, and definitely worth a shot!

Lovely place! The staff where great. Started off with appetizer of the 1 Lb. Steamer Clams loved the broth flavoring, and drinks. Then for the entree he get the Dry Aged Cowboy Cut Ribeye and salad bar and he said it was delicious. We really loved the Clam Chowder some of the best we have had. I got the 16oz Prime Rib and it felt like it melted as I at very delicious. Highly recommend this place!!!!!

Excellent prime rib! I loved that they had both a salad bar and a soup bar. The food was great, and the service was even better. The building is a little older, but it didn’t interfere with the experience at all—everything was clean, comfortable, and had a very relaxed atmosphere. We never felt rushed. They also served warm sourdough rolls before the meal, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend!

This beautiful establishment, built in 1977, originally the Sandpiper, is located in the heart of Boise. This place takes reservations, which I’d 100% recommend unless you don’t mind eating in the bar section, which I ate in with my husband for our date night. This place was recommended by my father in law who has been coming here for years and as a foodie I HAD to see the hype. The reviews alone made my mouth water. This isn’t a place you come to eat and leave, this is a place you come to enjoy. Enjoy your food, enjoy the friendly staff and the singing. To start off we got the bacon wrapped scallops, something my husband has never had but I have. It came with the literal BEST risotto I have ever had. Perfectly cooked even Gordon Ramsey would have his socks knocked off. We shared a 20 oz prime rib that was cooked medium. We ordered a side of au gratin potatoes. The prime rib and potatoes took about 15-20 minutes which was perfectly acceptable time for our order. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and was so tender it melted in our mouths. The prime rib also came with au jus sauce. The amount it came with was perfect for the portion we had. The potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had. They weren’t underdone or well done. It had a creamy cheese pull and bacon with it. The establishment was clean and the vibes were vibing. The waitress that helped us had the most genuine smile and helped us quickly. Everyone was polite and the bathrooms were beautiful. If you want to eat at a fancy restaurant this is your place. You CANNOT go wrong. I swear by every other place I’ve eaten that this place is by far, one of my new favorites. You will truly miss out on a good meal if you don’t try this place. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Everything tasted ok…… But for $57 bucks, my rib steak should have come out right the first time. They did refire me a new steak, but by the time it came out, most everyone else was finished at our table. My new steak was almost over cooked again. To me medium rare is a warm dark red center, mine was a darkish pink. I also thought my rib steak could have used sone more seasoning. Our waitress was awesome and gave us great service!

This place was a favorite but haven’t been back for years until this last weekend. Getting a parking spot is a joke, getting a table is a joke, and for what? A $60 steak that’s not even seasoned. Literally, my steak was the most bland steak I have ever eaten. Our poor waitress was running all over the place, covering multiple tables, and our service was awful. The salad bar wasn’t stocked either. Super dissatisfied and won’t be back.

Docking a star for the drafty upstairs. place was packed on Saturday evening, had live music that was a nice touch. Reservation highly recommended.
Service was prompt, good tasted great and overall a great experience. The fresh rolls were delicious and fluffy.
