Tonight I ordered
25 wings, 10 Catfish Fillets & a large Catfish all steak. The wings were old you can tell they had been sitting out for hours. Both fish orders were ok because they were freshly cooked but lacked seasoning. Won’t be a frequent place to eat .

Food was great. Had the catfish and shrimp. Fish was perfectly prepared and I had the hush puppies and they were also great. Giant portions. Definitely recommend.

The taste is always on point. I pass up several Jj’s I travel from Bolingbrook to Maywood for my Fish and chicken and I have never been disappointed, not even with the service when they are extremely busy still friendly service without mishaps.

Anyway, I’ve ordered Tilapia & chicken tenders and the food was OK. Not the best but not terrible either. The fish was very tender. Chicken was decent too but it lacked some sauce. Fries were okayish.
This plate as shown + toast + coleslaw + ranch dressing + Arizona green tea came down to $20 which really is a steal considering the amount of protein and calories you intake.

Even though I was the last customer of the night and I only ordered 5he 5 dollar special,I was happily greeted ,and my order was fresh and delicious. Fish was perfectly cooked not rushed and overdone. And the fries were crispy with just a hint of.. lemon pepper? Awesome place to eat day or night

Had to get my usual when I came home to visit in April 2023 for my Bday! Wing and Gizzard combo extra lemon pepper and mild sauce I grew up right down the street. Can’t go wrong eating here! The food is FYE!!! SMASHED IT ALL … People never really eat inside.

The lady who took my order and was at the register was super nice but the food was horrible. The Catfish fillet was mostly crust and was very brittle. The jumbo shrimp was mush and the fries had so much of a inconsistent taste and feel some were regular and some were shaped weird and were just filled with air and oil. Iv had food from here one other time and had no food or bad things to say about it but this was highly disappointing since jjs is so well known.

Very disappointed at my order. My jumbo shrimp the breading was coming off at the touch and it was still dough. My jack salmon tasted old not fresh plus the pieces were extremely small. I’ve been coming to the Maywood location for years. It changed ownership and the food and service isn’t the same. $34 down the drain.
