Excellent meal. We got lentil soup to start. Then a mixed grill that had chicken kabob, steak kabob and kufta patty with hummus, rice bread and a garlic sauce with hot sauce mixed in. All of this was perfectly cooked. Not too spicy but very flavorful. I will definitely come back here. The staff was wonderful and this place is very clean. Holds about 17 tables.

Probably some of the best food and service I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time, if not ever. Tasty, amazing Mediterranean food. Heavily recommended letting your server pick your food for you and give you a big mix. The complementary is a super tasty lentil soup. Highly recommended!

Omgosh, it’s so unique and fabulous. No menus but the owner comes to your table and asks you questions and pretty much picks your dinner for you! No prices, no sign outside. No bill at the end, just a total up at register. But the food is so good and the Turkish Coffee was a treat!

What an absolute gem. The menu is limited but succulently appealing.

Since it was our first visit, our waiter ordered for us: chicken, and steak kabobs, what I believe was biftekia, wonderfully tasty and creamy hummus, garlic sauce, pita, salad, and the eggplant appetizer (I could eat that eggplant by the bucketful (get your mind out of the gutter).

Sandwiched with lentil soup to start, and rice pudding with Turkish coffee to finish, I guarantee we’ll be back

This place is absolutely incredible. Everything we tried was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, especially the chicken kabobs and beef kabobs — juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The complimentary lentil soup given to every customer is served in memory of the owner’s mother, which makes it feel so warm and genuine. I’ve never seen anything like that at any other restaurant. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, the portions are generous, and the staff treats you like family. There’s plenty of parking and the entire experience was flawless. Easily the best restaurant I’ve ever been to.

I have been to many restaurants and I will have to say this was the most amazing experience. The food is top notch but what makes it more amazing is the owner and his staff. Having such an interaction that makes you feel at home is phenomenal and you don’t get that anymore. This will forever be the place I go for special occasions.

For my first experience, I was in awe. Such a warm welcoming atmosphere, very clean, service was top notch, the owner himself was very attentive, and my goodness the food is delicious! I discovered this location in the summer. I have been back a couple times since, and I feel confident to leave a five star review. For the Youngstown area, this place has consistent tasting food and friendly staff demeanor. My review is based on being a solo patron dining at the bar seating area. I have not had to come in as a large party or get seated at a table; however their banquet large party dining area is gorgeous looking! I like the bar area because it is very well lit so I can easily read while I wait and also be entertained watching the people prepare this unique food. There seems to be some people disappointed in the reviews cos “no menu” you’re given at the table?!? After Covid, this seems like a better idea less germs by touching plastic menus before you eat. Even more eco friendly less cleaning materials to wipe them down, staff can focus on more important tasks and guests. I am very much in favor that there is no menu given the simplicity of the meals offered, I believe this keeps it consistent coming out of the kitchen. For people that are worried about there not being a menu you can easily go right here on Google and see pictures of the menu, or just check it out at the entryway & Take a photo on your phone to look at table. I had no issue the first time I came in without a menu. If all else fails, just be adventurous. The food here is really good! I’ve ordered the Turkish tea, which I love it could drink it all day, it tastes even better in the heat of the summer. My go to meal is the mixed platter. You get a bit of all the different meats some nice little sides with it and a soup really can’t beat it. I may say the menu is simple, but don’t let that fool you when it comes to the flavor it packs a good punch every meat just has something bursting in your mouth. The rice has so much flavor the hummus it’s quite lovely. I also am a fan of the rice pudding they make it amazing here. I’ve thought about just stopping in and having a cup of rice pudding and tea and leaving that’s how big of a fan I am! I really like the atmosphere. It’s super clean all the time. The colors are very nice and calming, funky tiles- very enjoyable while eating. The music is fun and ethnic keeps a nice upbeat pace. Overall, temperature inside of the restaurant from summer to winter has been set to very comfortable temperatures making dining feel welcoming. I really like the parking lot here at this location. I feel safe parking my car because it’s paved nicely, No potholes, parking spaces are spaced on the wider side and clear markings, at night It is very well lit so I feel like my car is in good shape leaving it there while I eat and I feel safe coming and going. Never had an issue with seating, I can basically be seated as soon as I get in at the bar. The younger staff seems like they enjoy working hard there and I’ve seen them smiling every time I’ve dined in so that’s nice. Those young adults work really hard and do a great job!! I’m always happy when I leave. I’m very impressed by the owner he manages the kitchen and his staff very well. Plus on top of that he makes sure all his guests feel like they are at home in his restaurant. I don’t see this very often in the area so I commend him for his hard effort and work to making such a great establishment in our community, thank you. Overall, I come in feeling welcomed, I leave feeling full, and I’ve felt great the next day every time after eating a meal here! The meal prices are fair too! Some people gripe about baklava being expensive it’s like that anywhere at restaurants around here so ridiculous, it’s literally the same price as three other restaurants that serve this cuisine so that’s the norm. If the 1 dessert and menu is why your going to leave a negative review that’s so petty. Ignore those reviews I promise you as someone who lived in NY/CA this is top notch food and service, and as someone who has dealt with this town most their life this place is a great escape from the typical dining scene in Boardman/Youngstown.
