Great price, about $12 lunch variety was good, with kinda hott food & service could be better. They sometimes took your plate & even drink, when they didn’t even ask if you were done plus you have to pay @ your seat & they took a long time to give us our check & then stared & waited there, until you tip them ‍♀️

This past late March was the very fist time trying this place and not bad among Chinese buffets we’ve been to.

We live down just a few miles past the IL border in Beach Park but we take our boys for their haircuts up in K-town and were looking for a restaurant where they could choose from a variety and my wife mentioned she wanted Chinese as well so here we were.

Food overall for the price wasn’t bad and there was definitely an extensive selection to choose from across the board. Just wasn’t too thrilled about the foam plates and plastic utensils as some have already mentioned.

We’re in Keno/ Pleasant Prairie quite a bit but time will tell if we ever stop back in here, I’ll leave it up to the wifey if she gets that craving.

Nice place. Cozy, plenty of seating. Staff was friendly, professional and efficient. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Traditional dishes. Great price. 2 adults – $30 drinks and tax included.

Loving coming here for some great Chinese food! The styrofoam plates were odd to use at a restaurant at first, but after eating the food it becomes irrelevant. The food is very good and they refill the food very quickly. I highly recommend stopping here if you are looking for a good Chinese buffet!! Take-out is also great because you get to fill the container yourself!

The food was pretty decent. The service was excellent. The selection was more than adequate. The reason I gave a three-star rating on the atmosphere, people were extremely close to each other. And you still had people hacking and choking, it was a little uncomfortable.

On top of all of that, my wife fell outside the building tripping over a raised piece of concrete. I mentioned it to the management, although no one asked any questions about it. I told’em they need to have a sign up, if, they’re not going to level out the concrete. But that has nothing to do with the food, and it was decent as I said. Along with the service, which was excellent.

The food here has never been great, but my son loves it so it’s where he wants to go for his birthday every year. I figure I can deal with it once a year, but this year I was absolutely disgusted. I went to scoop some green onions to put on my wonton soup (even though they looked dried out, I figured the soup might rehydrate them) and fruit flies swarmed out of the container. We had a few fruit flies float past our table, and we weren’t even by the buffet. Also saw some barn flies land on the buffet. Other than that, I hate the styrofoam plates that are flimsy. The plastic flatware is so flimsy that you can’t stab the fork into a piece of sesame chicken because the tines just bend. There’s sushi and fried dumplings, but no small dishes to put soy sauce or dumpling sauce in for dipping. There’s really not a very big selection of actual Chinese food, and it’s all horrible. My kids and I can all order an entree and a few appetizers to split from China House (amazing Chinese food) for the same price as the buffet here, and the entrees are enough for at least 2 meals. So two meals from a good Chinese restaurant cost the same as one from here.

Well guys. Not all reviews are glowing but it doesn’t mean things can’t get turned around. It’s hard to write this because I have spent time w family having a meal here over the years and it was always enjoyable but things have gone downhill in quality but I want to start out with the positive. The welcoming fish tanks upon entry seem 7.5 out of 10 in maintenance. The fish seem mostly happy. Great to see. I care about how people treat animals. That matters a lot. Saw some other review that the plates and silverware were cheap. Covid times made them use disposable for sanitary reasons. They kept that trend for a while but when we were there it was back to normal plates. Both seem ok to use.
The tea is always good too. A full pot. Service there is not overly friendly but it is fast. I think we can all agree we don’t expect the Chinese restaurant workers to be exuberant to see us. I don’t want the place to go down but I do think some tweaks to the business could do wonders. Although I have no interest in returning any time soon this is my list of helpful tips.
1. Less items but quality. Not just coated weird sauces on stuff. We don’t need 100 passionless options. There are too many Asian cuisine options nearby that are legit competition in flavor and heart. So they should really shrink the offerings but try super hard with a few good things. Actually the eggrolls are not bad. And the sticky white rice. All is not lost. Th seaweed wrappers on the sushi were a bit gummy…. I have no idea how they make it but I never experienced that with sushi elsewhere or even there before.
Now…My mom would prefer to not find A FEATHER on her chicken and I think a language barrier prevented them from understanding what she discovered despite physically showing them aaaaaand I’m turning into a full time vegetarian faster and faster after this…. but this is the kind of thing that happens when things could use some fresh attention to the place.
2. Clean the bathroom. Literally. Like scrub the grime. Make sure paper towel is filled and fix the ceiling lights so that the one and only ceiling light shining into the one non dark stall doesn’t scare us all. A lot of people judge a place by the cleanliness of the bathroom. I definitely do. Stick some pretty soap in there and a fake plant. I don’t know. Just try. Dining area is always clean. Good job there.
3. Last not least: Remember to salt the sidewalks in winter-not just the steps. Hard to remember w the weather changing a lot and your busy but saw a few people struggling. And it’s just a helpful safety thing.

Bonus tip: Take a break sometimes so your not tired. When your working years on end in there day in and out… it’s hard to do your best when your just doing your best to survive. Best of luck & keep being good to those beautiful fish we all see when we first walk in. Hopefully this review helps.

This place is by far the worst representation of Chinese food. It is the very worst buffet food that I have encountered. They use the smallest cheapest peel your own shrimp that I’ve ever seen. You have to eat off of styrofoam plates and plastic forks. Most of the food was dried out and over cooked. Their egg rolls were as bland and plain as one could find. There was nothing inside but cabbage with no seasonings. Bland, bland, bland!
Worst ever! Don’t waste your $!

Considering how many customers they get, you’d expect real plates and utensils – not plastic ones, which only add to pollution.

Another terrible thing about this place is the food taste old and the customer service. The waitresses stand right next to your table waiting for you to leave, which feels very uncomfortable. This is the second time we’ve been here, and both times the waitress was rude – she threw the drinks on the table and made faces when we asked for a refill.

If you don’t leave a tip, they get upset and start saying things in Chinese. Overall, it’s just not a pleasant experience.

Save yourself the frustration – definitely not recommended.

The greeters were the friendliest I have seen in awhile. I asked for a booth and got it. The food selection was excellent. There was rice and two noodles to choose from. The entrees I tried were excellent and had SAUCE! Some Chinese restaurants skimp on the sauce and I love sauce so that was a plus. Make sure you try the broccoli with dressing, the dressimg was so good! (Pictured) My son said the sushi (he didn’t try raw fish) was good. I appreciated the vegetable egg roll as I don’t eat pork but love egg rolls. We had a great time!
