Dear Sonic Corporate Customer Service,
I am writing to formally report a very disappointing experience at your Sonic location at 4200 Independence Ave.
Last night around 12 AM, I drove approximately 15 minutes to that location specifically to purchase Sonic Blast ice cream. After arriving, I waited nearly 15 additional minutes just to place my order. I was then told that the ice cream machine was down. Based on that information, I left and drove about 3 miles away.
Shortly afterward, my wife noticed that DoorDash was still accepting orders from the same location. To verify, I placed the exact same order through DoorDash, and it was prepared and ready within 2 minutes.
When I returned to pick it up, I asked why I had been told the machine was down. The employee then stated that they only serve DoorDash orders late at night — which directly contradicts what I was originally told.
I drove 15 minutes, waited another 15 minutes, and was misinformed. This was a complete waste of my time and extremely frustrating. Customers deserve honesty and equal service, regardless of whether they order in person or through a delivery platform.
I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and addressed to prevent similar situations in the future.

It was a busy Saturday night.
I sat at a Sonic Stall – Doordashing. (30+ minutes)
Just for her to finally say “ I’m busy” After the 30 minutes of waiting already.
Couldn’t get a single response from the Red button I pushed. Ignored the DoorDasher and took everyone else orders. Cussed me out. Even the cook knew her behavior was unacceptable. I’ll be contacting cooperate.
Once i expressed frustration she then threw away my order. Wasted my time while doordashing, “ Paid by the Hour” . So I made no money that hour.

Unfortunately it took about 4 minutes after pressing the order button for a crew member to take my order. Then she had to come outside to ask what I wanted because I guess she couldn’t hear me. Two sonic blasts cost me $14! The brownie chunk one was plain tasting. The worst part was there was a huge air pocket in my blast which revealed several ounces of lost ice cream. They charged me full price for a blast that was missing a good 4 ounces of ice cream and had very little actual brownie pieces. Just another example of companies charging more for less. I will not be returning to this location.

I ordered a sausage egg and cheese burrito, but it looks like they didn’t take the time to actually make it properly. Because the egg is whole, it’s so is the sausage and mind you. I don’t have teeth to be able to sit there and bite down. I just am able to pull the Tortilla with my hands and put it in my mouth. I can’t do that because I have to actually open up the burrito. Cut the egg We cut the sausage. It’s getting a little sad that sonic is that lazy that they do not chop up their eggs and make them scrambled. It takes 5 seconds to scramble a stinking ache, in, just as long as to cook it.

They charged me twice for my food and they will not answer the phone so I can get my refund. They ripped me off $22. I’ve been trying to call them all day. No answer. Now I have to take off work early and drive all the way back up there during the day to try to talk to someone that can help me.

They literally gave me a BLT with just un-toasted bread mayo and lettuce that’s it no tomato no bacon not toasted. My sonic burger was a burnt jr patty with cheese. I returned next day the car hop was all in her feelings. Where i had to stop and say what is ur problem i just want it re-made. Then the manager comes out same as carhop with a attitude. She replaced it but said she will not again. I needed to come same day. How if I came at night 30 mins before they closed. By the time I made it home seen the crap then drove back they would been closed. So RUDE!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I ordered 1 All American Dog with added Hot Chili, shredded cheddar cheese and hatch green chilies $7.29. I received Chili cheese tots!
I ordered 1 Sonic Blast Reeses Peanut Butter Cup (32 oz) $11.00 with added hot fudge $0.50, added Butterfingers pieces $1.00. I received Sonic Blast (20 oz) made with Oreo cookie pieces, no hot fudge or Butterfingers pieces.
I order a hand mixed master Oreo chocolate shake (20 oz) with added hot fudge $0.50, added snickers pieces $1.00. Received Oreo chocolate shake 20 oz not hot fudge or snickers pieces.
I asked for utensils and straws, did not receive anything but the food mentioned above.

Ordered & paid online before & checked in when arrived. Partial food order brought out missing fried pickles (which was honestly the primary reason I’d chose 2 eat here) stated they were out asked what I wanted in replacement then the chicken strips combo had no onion ring nor dipping sauce of any kind let alone the specifically ordered ended up waiting additional 20-25 mins for onion ring & replacement side to be cooked. Then the drink order was only 1 of the 2 so asked for the drink ordered & paid for w/combo option & when brought out it was HC fruit punch instead of big red soda so had to send it back. This was at closing time on my way back home & passing through a unfamiliar location at night so couldn’t return anything bc certainly the $16 worth the drinks were only thing consumable (which 1 was free from rewards promo on app) When finally home getting it plated to eat was further more agitated @ fryer grease I’m assuming is what the issue was bc all of it was dark, dried out (even Texas toast) & tasted old & unpleasantly the same! So went to bed hungry & basically out $20! Notes taken & lesson learned!

Visited this Sonic while running errands yesterday. The few fries I did get were old and cold and the hamburger patties were cold and tasted like they’d been sitting forever. The carhop that brought my food out did not acknowledge me at all, did not repeat my order to me, just handed me my food. Even me tipping her $3 on an $11 meal could get her to smile or even say thank you. After collecting the money she just turned and walked away. I didn’t worry about asking for a manager or complaining because it’s a Sonic the manager is right there and knows what’s going on with the food. If you’re looking for comfort food in this area there are plenty of other fast food places or even food trucks that are amazing.
