This is a cozy deli that’s serving up some really tasty sandwiches. Everything is freshly made and it is clear that there is a lot of care given to the product. We came for breakfast and quite liked our food. The garlic bagel was by far the best. The everything bagel was good, but they overdo it a little with the poppy seeds. The pastrami, in particular, was great. However, their breakfast sandwiches are in dire need of a sauce. That would really take things to the next level. That said, you won’t be disappointed by this place if you stop. Food is good, staff is pleasant, and the ambiance is very chill.

I’m already planning my return! Next time I’ll grab dessert, haha. The loaded fries were amazing, as was the Nashville sandwich. So much that I had to take more than half home. And reasonably priced! Thanks so much!

I was in the mood for breakfast and decided to try this place. The parking lot is kind of confusing, I guess you have to enter from the side. The side where you line up for the drive-thru. They have signs saying you can’t enter through the exit but people do it anyway.

It’s so hard, trying to find a good corned beef/pastrami sandwich place close by. I decided to try the Atlantic special on pumpernickel bagel (I thought it said pumpkin) and schmaltz on cheddar jalapeño bagel. I’m not a fan of the half sour pickle, I should’ve asked for the kosher one. It was hard trying to finish one, I ended up tossing both pickles away. The schmaltz on cheddar jalapeño is a perfect combination. The pastrami was very juicy and tender, the heatness from the jalapeño gave it more flavor. Atlantic special was good but I should have chosen a better bagel like garlic. The pumpernickel was just okay. The beef salami was tasty.

I would definitely come back to try their lunch menu. Breakfast prices were not expensive, food portions were generous. I was pretty stuffed after two sandwiches. Oh, the morning staff was very friendly and attentive.

I wish I could add a sixth star somehow. Absolutely amazing. Fantastic table service, attentive, speedy. Nice place, colorful and vibrant setting. Deli counter looked quite enticing. Delightful Reuben, just huge, and very tasty, hint of garlic kick in either the dressing or the kraut put it over the top. Tuna salad also quite delicious. I got that on a pretzel bagel and it was just lovely. The pickle itself worth a mention for connoisseurs like me who enjoy sampling one they’ve never tried, quite nice. You probably won’t have room for a hand pie, but take one to go, tremendous flaky goodness. If you’re questioning the pricing at all, be assured that you’ll know *exactly* where your money went the moment you take that first bite. Eat here.

I had a nice lunch with my wife today at Schmaltz Deli, catching the tail end of the lunch rush. I kicked things off with a cup of Matzo Ball soup, which was packed with tender white chicken, carrots, and celery, all bursting with flavor, plus a generous matza ball. For my main, I went with the #11 Adams sandwich, a delicious mix of pastrami and corned beef, topped with extra meat, Swiss cheese, and spicy mustard on lightly toasted rye. While the sandwich was fantastic overall, I did find the bottom slice of bread a bit soggy, which affected the overall experience. The pastrami and corned beef were excellent, and the authentic East Coast sour pickle was a perfect touch.

I wanted to try out corn beef sandwich and after reviewing other restaurants I decided to try this place that has existed for 3-4 years. I ordered 1/2 sandwich+soup, corn beef + pastrami sandwich to go. The chicken soup was delicious and sandwiches was delicious and as expected. The front desk staff helped me with the selection, the order was ready in less than 5 minutes. They have a large selection of deli meats, soup, cheese, and desserts. Recommend this place.

Wow! From the moment you walk in, the ambience transports you straight into an authentic New York-style deli. The Old New Yorker sandwich was phenomenal, it tasted just like home. I recommend ordering it with both corned beef and pastrami, paired with Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray soda (if you like celery), it’s the perfect match. The Schmaltz bagel was also delicious. The bagel was soft, buttery, and perfectly balanced with the eggs, pastrami, and cheese. We will definitely be coming back.

First time visit to Schmaltz Deli and it was a great meal. Visited in the mid afternoon and they were fairly busy. Was warmly greeted by the host and sat at a nice table. The waiter who was also the host was super nice and sincerely asked if I had some questions. The menu is pretty extensive and he helped me make the rights sandwich selection as I wanted to try both the corned beef and the pastrami. I went with the #20 Old New Yorker which came with cold slaw and Russian dressing, plus he brought me spicy and yellow mustard after I mentioned I wanted the Russian dressing on the side.

I had to try the Matzo Ball soup and it did not disappoint. A cup that is a bowl in most restaurants. They know what they are doing. The broth tasted home made and had great flavor. A giant Matzo Ball in the soup. It was soft and fluffy on the outside and a little firmer in the middle. In my family, we always made them very firm. But I like them both ways. They had a nice flavor and I added a little pepper to spice it up a bit, as I have my whole life.

Oh I almost forgot, they bring you some nice baked parmesean bagel chips to start. They were very good. I took some home. I think there was butter on them, but could have been olive oil, not really sure. A tasty start!

My waiter went home mid meal and the guy who took over was super attentive and very polite.

The waiters and the whole staff were very experienced and they really seem to go out of their way to make people feel appreciated. I think one of the family members came by and asked me how everything was. We chatted about the Russian dressing, which I told him reminded me of my Mom’s homemade Thousand Island dressing. He said their Russian dressing is an original mixture of Thousand Island and Russian. Its excellent!

The sandwich was delicious with spicy pastrami and lean and tender corned beef. The pastrami was a bit fatty, but I forgot to ask for extra lean (my fault, as many people like the fatty cut.)

It came with a full half-sour pickle, which again takes me back to my childhood when my grandmother would make these for us. A truly nice touch.

All in all, this place exceeded my expectations. They would have knocked my socks off if they had Kishke on the menu.

I will definitely be back and bring some friends and family who I am sure will love it.
