When you walk in the vibe and atmosphere in this restaurant screams your on vacation in your own city. Spicy mango was a real delight. The wings are great with the perfect amount of heat. I oxtails were well season and delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. Bre our server was very attentive and thoughtful with her recommendations. She made making decisions on food quick and easy and did everything with such grace and professionalism. However this is a quite pricey dinner but we’ll worth it! I would go back again and again.

So happy we decided to dine at Spicy Mango for our anniversary dinner. We made the reservation via OpenTable and received several reminders which was helpful. We were warmly welcomed and sat within minutes of our arrival. We choose to sit indoors as the weather was much cooler. Corey G. was our server and he set the bar high for future wait staff! If you’re reading this and had the pleasure of being served by Corey G., then you get it. He’s very patient, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu and drink offerings. He’s tried most of the menu and gave his opinion on his faves and suggestions. We took his advice and we were not disappointed. We ordered coconut shrimp, redfish, jasmine rice, lamb chops, and fries. All dishes were seasoned perfectly, impeccably plated and served hot! We also enjoyed a variety of cognacs and French 75, needless to say I wasn’t the DD this time. I’ll definitely be back for happy hour or brunch.

Spicy Mango Spicy mango boy was I expecting much better food than I had. There was hype around this place so decided to try it out of the other 8 places I visited while there. To begin with the vibe, atmosphere, and ambiance was amazing and love it all and really was my favorite about this place. Our waitress was great, very helpful and knowledgeable abut the menu. Drinks were top notch for me which is why I’m giving it that extra star for 4. Try that spicy mango margarita (extra spicy) Let’s get to the dishes….. Started with the habanero wings which were great and falling off the bone. I ordered the oxtails and red beans which were flavorful but my oxtails were definitely more burnt and on the crispy side rather than tender, and this is coming from someone that can cook oxtails and also a Jamaican. Tried the side of dirty rice and I enjoyed that as well. Also for $34 dollars 2 pieces of oxtail is wild!!!! Also ordered the oxtail man and cheese and I would have been better off just ordering plain Mac n cheese because again the pieces of oxtails in the Mac n cheese were burnt. Like giving it a burnt rip rip feel. Don’t know if I just went on a bad night but I’m definitely not running back or keeping here as a must try place. Now I would visit one more time to probably give it another chance and try another dish before writing them off because it wasn’t all bad.

This place is phenomenal! From the time you enter Sean greats you and makes you feel so welcomed. The ambiance is amazing. The huge tree inside, the low lights and the beats playing over the speakers. We absolutely loved it. It feels upscale but not uptight.

The food was good. We arrived to our reservation on the dot. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated inside. Our server came over in about 5 mins. We ordered drinks and the wings to start. Then we ordered quite a bit of food including extra sides. The dirty rice we took two bites of and didn’t like. When our server finally came to check on us after receiving our food. We Requested to send the rice back, our server said “it looks like quite a bit has been eaten and it has been a while since it came out so we can’t refund” 1. we never asked for a refund, we wanted to switch it out because it wasn’t what was advertised. 2. She hadn’t been by our table for at least 15 mins since the food was out. It was BS. But I guess having high expectations leave room for disappointment. We also had to keep asking for our water to be refilled. Everything is spicy which we don’t mind but like…. Can we keep the water replenished??? Overall just felt like there wasn’t quality customer service.

Now THIS is the vibe I’ve been searching for in New Orleans…. From the time I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with so much hospitality. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. I was seated at the bar, and the music and vibe was wonderful. I ordered the bread and corn for appetizers, the steak and you must try the French 75! The food is so flavorful and came out fresh and hot. This is great for a solo date or girls night out. I was visiting from Atlanta and absolutely loved this spot. I’ll be back!

Enjoyed an amazing experience while celebrating my daughter, who attends college in NOLA! The flavors were bold, authentic, and full of true Creole Caribbean soul. Every dish was seasoned to perfection, and the drinks along with the rum cake were on point. The atmosphere was welcoming, the music set the vibe, and our waiter, Caroline, provided top-tier service. This place is definitely a must-visit. I’ll be back for sure!

The atmosphere here is seriously stunning, total vibe. Nami was our server and she was amazing, she mixed in a little history with top-tier service. Her recommendations were absolute fire and she did not miss. You have to try the flaming margaritas, and they’ve got flaming mock margaritas too if you’re not drinking. The ceviche was so fresh, and the Escovitch Red Snapper was easily a standout.
