Our visit to Gilligan’s was absolutely great. My son and I stopped in for an early dinner. Everything from the appetizers to our main course was hot, fresh, and served fast. Selena, our waitperson was attentive and extremely pleasant. We will DEFINITELY return for the good food and hospitality!

First let me say service was outstanding. I was sat quickly, and drink order taken. The food was hit and miss. I ordered the grouper fingers appetizer, large portion, very crispy and I liked the dipping sauce that came with it. For dinner I ordered the flounder and shrimp combo. Again nice and crispy, 9 pcs of shrimp and 2 fillets of flounder. The shrimp were delicious. Now the flounder, it was thin, over cooked and wasn’t a very good chew. I would go again but would definitely not order there flounder.

As always I was extremely excited for the view, drinks and food. When he said what do you want to eat while in Beaufort… this is my go to spot.
I’ve only been with him and there’s always a nice breeze to go with the beautiful scenery overlooking the marsh. Great place for dining for 2 or a large party.
The bar!!!! Did I mention the bar??? The drinks are awesome. Try the one in the pineapple if you’re not allergic of course.

So on first entry the staff is amazing, everyone greets you and does it with a smile. It didn’t take long at all to be seated. The menu is very good and has a lot of seafood options to choose from. The server was super nice too and also very helpful. The food took a little while to come out but I do understand that the restaurant was filling up pretty fast for dinner service. I ordered the gumbo which said it was a broth with shrimp, sausage and okra over a bed of rice. My grandma is from New Orleans so I was kind of excited to try this out. When I got my food it was dry no broth no nothing just the filler in the bowl and it didn’t taste like anything. I know gumbo is supposed to be made starting from a rue but this definitely was not it. The server understood when I sent it back and I just got the honey baked salmon with corn. Everything else was good that came out my food was just completely disappointing at first.

Was here in January 2026. The food was fantastic! The service and atmosphere was great. Didn’t realize that the gentleman that seated us was the general manager! He was a really great guy and made us feel like family. We live in Midway, GA which is about an hour and 10 minutes away. Will we return? Absolutely!!! Today is Valentine’s Day and we are otw!

Delicious fresh local oyster clusters steamed! Perfect lunch medium size ($20) included salad and a side. My parents enjoyed the fried oysters and shrimp tacos. Love their hush puppies! Great service including quality check by the manager.

Omg the platter with the shrimp, oysters, flounder fish, okra, and zucchini and squash is what I ordered was sooo good. I took my time eating it and did not put a dent in that platter!!! That fried green tomato was the bomb for com. I enjoyed my meal!! I definitely recommend this restaurant

I got shrimp and fish. It was so greasy! Like I wrapped it in napkins to get the grease off. I’m not a fan . Our waitress was the indoor bartender and the outdoor waitress. She was busy.
2 lunch specials, shrimp and fish plates , 2 teas
47.00!!!! When we got home from vacation and seen they charged that much on our card, we felt we were overcharged.
The couple with us got 1 lunch grilled shrimp plate and a cup of she crap soup and 2 cokes. Their card was charged 52.00
I’ll pass on this place.

We used to frequent Gilligans Beaufort for years. Service and food quality slipped about 6 years ago. Stopped by there 18Jan26 and had the best steamed oysters and dinner in a long time from Gilligans. Timely service and very clean dining area. Found out a new GM is in the drivers seat. We do plan to frequent and have spread the word to our friends about our experience. Good Job!
