I had lunch here yesterday. I ordered the “1st mate”, fries, rye bread and a drink. Everything was good, the fish was great! I will definitely eat here again. Nice guy worked the counter. The staff I met was nice when interacting with the customers. They do offer a senior and Veteran’s discount.

UPDATE : Firstly, I’ve loved this restaurants food since I was a kid.It has always been great regardless which location you visited. I really hate to give a bad review, but this can not go without saying something. Because, honestly I feel like I got scammed with their chicken sandwich.(see photos I don’t know when it changed but the size of the patty and bun is ridiculous. I think it’s $4.69 for the sandwich. Even if it’s $3.69 it shouldn’t be more than $1.99. Should be advertised as a chicken slider. The worst part is it was a to go order and we didn’t realize it was a rip-off until we got home. I had to go to another fast-food restaurant close by to get something else for them to eat! The last time they had this sandwich it was much larger and on a different bun. Also, the tartar, has changed. I used to get jars of this occasionally to take home it was so good. Now it’s more like mayonnaise.

We have been enjoying the fish from this Moby Dick location for many years. For the first time today we were somewhat disappointed. Imagine my shock when I unwrapped our Whale of a Sandwiches and discovered the very small fish fillets. Two pieces were no more than 2/3 the size of the bread and very thin. Only one of the 4 fish fillets among the 2 sandwiches covered the bread. All were thinner than expected. The prices have steadily gone up over the years, which I have no problem with. But, for the price paid, the fish should be significantly larger.

Went through the Dive thru was the only car in line ordered a box for two, baked fish and two coleslaw. Food took a while which it normally does and is fine but I got all the way home and didn’t have the baked fish. Tried calling 3 times and got no answer and a message saying vm is full. Drove all the way up there went inside told the girl at the counter what happened she yelled at someone in the back that I didn’t get my baked fish. Then nothing else was said, so I stood there for 5 mins and finally got my fish. No I am sorry, or anything. Get to the car and the the bag is leaking all over my leg open the bag and the lid isn’t even on the container so now my fish is spilled out in the paper bag. I get mistakes happen but when somebody pays almost $45 at your business, has to drive back there to get the rest of the food you would think you would show some sort of customer service skills and at least try to make sure it’s packaged right. I will not be back, I will go to the Valley Location from now on.

Always very clean restaurant. Hot fresh food and courteous employees. So, why only 3 stars? Remember the “Where’s the beef” advertisement? The fish in my First Mate sandwich was extremely thin, mostly breading and bread. Disappointed.

I went to Moby dick on Dixie Highway on 9/19 around 2 PM in the afternoon to get a sandwich and there was no one taking orders because somebody got mad and walked off the floor leaving only one person there to take orders and try to cook. And everything about this Moby dick is horrible. If there’s not a manager in there, staying on them all the time. Something needs to be done with the employees that don’t want to work. But want to get paid and get mad because they did wrong.
I didn’t even get to place an order. Because of the shorthanded gentleman and I wasn’t going to do that to him. So I just walked out of the restaurant.
