My husband liked it, thought the food was good and the flavors were authentic. I am not a person who enjoys spicy food, and i got ahold of something quite spicy straight away, which kind of ruined my desire to explore the buffet. But what I did eat was pretty good, although the chicken was a bit dry. The dining room is simple and showing its age, but clean. Service was friendly and efficient, used plates were cleared quickly and they made sure we didn’t run out of naan. Which was nice and fresh, by the way.

Took my friends visiting from Florida who were craving Pakistani food ,the dishes here were delicious and authentic! We really enjoyed the meal. I’d love to see a wider variety of desserts on the menu, such as Indian sweets like ladoo, kulfi, or jalebi etc .
Pani puri water should improve , i suggest something with mint chilli water & tamarind water to pair with.

I’ve been going to Mezban for nearly eight years. The food was always delicious and consistent. Unfortunately, the last two visits were a complete departure from that standard, and the change in ownership shows in all the wrong ways.

Before even touching the buffet, I went to wash my hands. In the sink was toilet paper, soaked and smeared with yellow splashes of who-knows-what, all over the counter where the soap dispenser sits. The soap bottle itself was small, filthy, and empty, except for water that had clearly been added and shaken to fake it. Classy. To top it off, the proper white paper towels had been replaced with cheap, industrial-grade brown ones. It was immediately clear the new owners are cutting every corner possible.

Back at the buffet, the food trays had yellow rust rings and curry splashed everywhere. Cleanliness clearly wasn’t a priority.

The meat both looked and tasted old. Even the mango lassi was off. Instead of tasting like mango, it was basically a sugary milkshake with a hint of disappointment.

My advice to the new owners: don’t sacrifice quality in the rush to squeeze out profit. If prices had gone down, I might have understood. Instead, you raised the price by $2 per person and delivered a worse experience. That’s not how you keep loyal customers.

We visited this restaurant twice, and unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing.

First visit:
We found the place through their TikTok account and decided to give it a try. While the food tasted decent, most menu items were unavailable on a weekend night, which was frustrating. The staff member working there seemed completely overwhelmed and ignored customers. We were charged nearly $50, which was not justified given the unhygienic floor, poor atmosphere, and lack of service.

Second visit:
This visit was much worse. We arrived around 4 PM, and the restaurant was not busy, yet the lighting was dull and made the place feel uninviting. Food options were very limited, and there was no masala tea available for almost two hours. The same staff member appeared disorganized and seemed unsure of what she was doing.

While I was standing near the dessert stall, she suddenly came running from behind carrying dishes and tea and spilled leftover food and tea all over my jeans and my Retro Grey shoes. I didn’t say anything at the moment and went straight to the washroom to clean myself. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my clothes and shoes to dry.

What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability. I expected at least a sincere apology from the manager. Instead, when we informed the cashier, they casually offered a $4 discount, which is unacceptable considering my shoes were permanently stained and the inconvenience caused.

Overall, this was a horrible experience. Poor service, lack of professionalism, and no concern for customer satisfaction.
I would never recommend this restaurant and will never return

Mezban has always been one of my go-to places for desi food, especially for their Lahori-style fried fish and paya. However, in my recent visits, I’ve noticed the quality of food and service going down significantly.

On my latest visit, before we even started eating, we saw that the fish tray only had a few tiny leftover pieces. We asked the supervisor if more would be prepared. At first, he said new fish would only be made once the current pieces were finished. After we insisted, the chef took away the dish, and when it came back, it was the exact same old fish—just garnished with fresh onions. When we pointed this out again, he promised fresh fish, but after waiting 40 minutes, we were once again served the same fish with only a few new pieces mixed in. The supervisor seemed helpless, and the chef clearly wasn’t interested in making anything fresh.

The tea was also disappointing—sitting in the dispenser too long, bitter, and not even hot. Another issue was the excessive use of oil, which wasn’t the case in the past. One of the main reasons we used to visit Mezban often was because the food felt close to home-cooked meals. Unfortunately, that standard is no longer there.

The owners really need to look into this, otherwise they risk losing loyal customers.

Food is very good. Came due to a gathering. Majority is good. Rice was kinda undercooked, but was able to mix to make it taste better. Desserts were nice like the Kheer. Do try coming, but was more buffet so be very hungry when you visit.

Overall, a good experience. The food was tasty, the service was attentive, and the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. Everything we tried was flavorful and came out fresh.

The only disappointment was the koyla karahi. It didn’t have that signature smoky, charcoal flavor you expect from a true koyla dish and tasted below average compared to the rest of the meal. With a little improvement on that item, this place would easily be a top spot. Still worth visiting for the overall quality and service.

Very disappointed. Over priced most food are old specially haleem , daal , qorma , pulao is very old too. Even the chai it’s old too They charge 15% extra charges on top of that regular price. Also after 45 minutes i think they close the AC so ppl get out from there it was melting inside temp too high it’s a horrible experience Highly not recommended

Last Sunday I visited with my family of 5, weekend buffet was there so we tried. Sadly the food was not up to the standards, very worst ambience for downtown based restaurant….. They claim it’s authentic Pakistani good but I doubt. Also they charged 15% service charge for average service and worst ambience. Spent $200$ for 5 people which is not worth at all.

This restaurant has impressed me over the course of many visits, especially with their BBQ items. The chicken tikka, malai boti, and chicken lollipop are truly amazing and a must-try.However, I’ve noticed that their vegetable dishes often seem old and are typically reheated, which is disappointing. Additionally, the appetizers could use improvement; the chicken corn soup is served daily with different salads, but they lack taste and appeal. Moreover, the restaurant’s interior feels quite outdated, particularly the restroom area, which needs significant attention due to an unpleasant odor. Overall, while the BBQ offerings are fantastic, there are several areas that require improvement to enhance the dining experience.i have experience aftaar as well not very impressive
