Went to this restaurant due to reviews, but it was really a waste of time and money. We walked in, never was treated or anything, stood there for about 5/7mins before I actually had to walk to the back near the register to ask if someone was going to assist or do we seat ourselves. We finally got seated, sat for about another 10mins before I had to stop a waitress and ask if someone was going to take our order. We finally got the order, food wasn’t seasoned that great and was very bland. The only thing that was good was the gumbo. We had the chicken and waffle and steak and eggs. Thought it was gonna be a whole steak with eggs but it was only cut up pieces of steak ( which the menu should’ve stated that). The waffle was supposed to be a biscoff waffle but it only had a simple cracker in the middle. It wasn’t worth the money. I felt we could’ve went next door to the Mexican restaurant and got better service and food.
But I do want to thank Jazzy for assisting and helping us even when she had several other tables that were asking to her ( ours weren’t )

I went there for their brunch menu. I ordered glazed biscuits and salmon and cheese grits. The biscuits were large, light, fluffy and buttery with two condiments. I’d say they were slightly above average. The blackoned salmon and cheese grits were a decent portion, but really lacking in flavor. The salmon was cooked perfectly but didn’t really taste seasoned and came with a Creole inspired sauce that looked good but completely lacked flavor. As far as I’m concerned the portions are decent but the food has very little seasoning to make the dishes pop. The price of the dishes are a bit too expensive for what you’re getting. I’m going to give the dinner menu a chance, just to be fair and because I really liked the music they were playing in the dining room. Seems like a good place to bring a date.

Our server Naj was amazing. Friendly courteous and she made a fantastic latte.
The food was great. This is definitely a place to which we will return when we drive North or come for a daytrip to Richmond.

Everything about this place was an amazing vibe. The music selection was top tier and the moment I entered, I was greeted with a beautiful smile. She kept that smile from beginning to end as well. I had the seasonal Berry French Toast with a side of cheesy eggs and the Milk & Honey Latte. The food is DELICIOUS!!! My only regret is not being able to eat more. I cleaned that plate like the food never existed. HIGHLY recommend!

The food was average and the waitstaff wasn’t attentive at all. Our waitress never came over to see if we needed anything. I actually had to track her down just to get refills on our beverages and carry out containers ect. Not the best experience.

Folks this is a jewel in colonial heights.
con. not much negative for this place. just its small. not cramped. just no large groups for this place. if 1 church were to reserve all the seating would be gone.
Pros. omg where to start. tho small ot is not cluttered. the decor is pretty. live plants make this place feel like its cozy and alive. the rustic look dosnt feel cheap. but makes the whole place looked loved and lived.
the food. I had the Biscoff waffle and chicken. had the add some Cajun spice to my chicken. it was delightful. a drizzle of maple syrup and the sweet spice flavour was divine. my husband had the crispy salmon and cheese hash. do not let the word crispy fool you. it was savory just the right amount if.crunch to go.with the flaky salmon. the spices enhances the flavor. some.places cover up the natural flavour of salmon. milk and honey has gotten the mix of spice to falvour down to science. You can taste the passion and pride.
I suggest if you are debating where to go for brunch. Milk and Honey should be the 1st option. you won’t regret it.

Everything was DELICIOUS!!!! We had the Wharf Scramble, Honey Old Bay Wings, and the Shrimp and Grits! We typically go to Richmond for decent brunch but I’m so glad we stopped here.

Waffle was good but chicken was like jerky. I used everything to add moisture to the chicken. It seems like a good restaurant and maybe my order got messed up but I won’t try it again, a bit pricey for a sad meal
