Nani’s Indian Kitchen is a wonderful restaurant in downtown Ballston Spa serving Indian food. The food is incredible and the menu offers many great choices. The pakora, samosa, chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, and chicken korma are all very good. The menu has many great vegetarian choices as well.
The restaurant is small and only has a few tables for dining.Still, the atmosphere inside is cozy. Ordering takeout here is a good idea, the meals are done on time. Using mealeo to order from here works well. The waitstaff is friendly. Only wish the restaurant was open a few more hours. Check it out if you are in the Ballston Spa area.

The food was DELICIOUS. Great casual place for takeout but we also had a fun dine-in experience talking with the friendly owners, Todd and Nafeesa, who personally waited on us and made our great meal and appetizers!

Brought my Mom here for lunch on a Friday. We parked right in front of the place, didn’t even have to parallel. The waitress warmly greeted and seated us. Lovely atmosphere. Very cozy.

Ordered Tikka Masala and my mom got Tandoori with samosas for an appetizer. First time I’ve had them. They were homeade and delicious. Admittedly, I don’t have a lot of experience with Indian food but I have had a few Tikka Masalas and none of them came close to the flavor of this one. The waitress was great, also them proprietor and main chef. After complimenting the Masala she revealed that she only uses fresh spices and makes everything from scratch, in house. It wasn’t oily or greasy. The naan had char flavor grilled right into it.

I’d recommend this place to everyone. Can’t wait to bring my family back.

Excellent experience!

We stopped by on recommendation while in town for auto repair work. Nani and her husband were very cheerful and took excellent care of us for our dinner!

We tried the assorted appetizer and every item was delicious without exception. The fried cabbage strings were great, the Battaglia Vada balls were scrumptious, samosa was piping hot, the crust was super flakey tender crust, and the stuffed mirchi was absolutely huge. Everything was super tasty and super fresh!

For our entries we got Chicken Biryani and Mattar with Aloo, with a side of Garlic Naan. Everything was super flavorful, served hot and fresh, and delicious.

I would recommend anyone interested in Indian food to give this new resturant a shot.

We ended our meal with an order of pashwari naan and some Golub juman.

Excellent experience all around!!

I went here with a friend and her family. They were north Indian and had very specific flavor profiles that they felt were correct. The staff and the chef were very communicative and accommodating customized orders to their requirements. The food was delicious, I thought, even before the requests for changes, that the food was healthy and delicious and made with care. I loved everything about this restaurant. I wish my friend had tipped better. I’ll definitely return with my husband.

I can only extend a neutral rating as the food is fantastic, flavorful and spicy when you can actually get the protein you order. In the last 8 times I’ve ordered over the past 3 months, only half of my dishes have contained lamb that was ordered. I am always told the table ahead of me received the last lamb dish or they only have enough for one of the dishes out of the 2 ordered. I ask that you prep better with inventory if you know certain proteins are popular, like the lamb. Please order more!!
Again, the food is great when you get what you order. Disappointing when you don’t.

The prices are not bad, the food is amazing, it took about 15-20 minutes for our order to come, but it’s well worth the wait since it’s made to order. I haven’t had Indian cuisine this good in 20 years! My wife and I liked the way owners took time to greet us personally and ask how our meal was. We will definitely be going back!

So delicious, we had appetizers and an entree. The Chicken Masala was the absolute best. I would recommend the appetizers as well, just order them, you will not be sorry.

What a wonderful place!! We are so lucky to have an Indian Kitchen in Ballston Spa — their food is perfectly cooked and spiced, and done to the right “heat level” for the mild and spicy people in our family. My favorite was the samosas! Love that tamarind chutney. We will be back soon, and often 🙂

Wonderful restaurant, wonderful people. The owner is always open to trading stories and conversation. Excellent food. The atmosphere and smells are very home-like, and you feel as though you’re being served by family. The menu has something for everyone. I’ve been three times so far and I’ve definitely found a favorite.
