Went here after work with a friend on a Wednesday Let’s start off with the food, it was delicious but my chicken was lukewarm and I would have liked if the extra gravy on the side was warmed up. Now let’s get to everything else. The ambiance is dope and it’s decorated nicely. This is not a large venue at all so please keep that in mind, quaint if you ask me. The staff was attentive and everyone and I mean everyone was nice and prompt with checking in on us. There was not a lot of people there when we went but I liked it that way. I did not like that my mixed drink came in a cookout Red cup ( you can get glassware from Dollar Tree) or that they had music in the inside but not in the patio but I hope that changes in the summertime. I understand that the dj is there only on Friday and Saturday I believe but if they would invest in a speaker for the outside patio for the other days that would be great. I believe they just opened so I’m definitely going to try them again next month when I visit again and hopefully I can update my review.

New carribean restaurant in the neighborhood. I stopped by for brunch. It’s a nicely decorated cozy place. The drinks were nice and strong. The food was good, the shrimp was alil salty but good overall. The crabcake was good, and the wings were good as well. We took home a jerk chicken dinner and a fried chicken dinner. It was good, rice alil mushy but good overall. The service was good, and the host and servers were very nice. I would give it another shot.

Medium size order ( Curry Chix) paid $16.50, was not impressed Rice was dry, the Chicken portion was very little (Size of a small at other restaurants) not pleased.

2nd order was Shrimp and Grits

Got Home and they did not put cover on right and all the Grits were at the bottom of the bag and spilled over the first order (Curry Chicken)

Very in Happy still looking for a Good quality Jamaican Rest in town ( Will continue to drive to Bloomfield and Hartford)

Wasted my Money

This place is an absolute gem. The cleanliness, warm welcoming vibe, and the food (The best Jamaican cuisine in CT). The owner Michelle was the sweetest person ever and made my experience worth it fr. I had the oxtail and it was delicious. The seasoning, portion, and presentation was literal perfection. Check them out you’ll thank me later.

Lovely restaurant with delicious Caribbean/ Jamaican cuisine. Staff is courteous. Definitely a date night or upscale restaurant for celebrations. I ordered takeout but I’ll be back to have a nice romantic dinner with my husband soon.

This morning I went to support an establishment down the street from my house. (Secrets Bistro & Bar) They open at 12pm, we arrived at 12:10am. I entered and a young lady sat us and said she would get a round of water for the table. I never saw her again. A gentleman came to our table and again asked if we wanted water for the table He brought the water and took our orders. For drinks we had the rum punch and Alyssa ordered a Shirley Temple. We put in our food order from the brunch menu. Less than 5 minutes after the waiter left he came backk to the table to informm us the Ackee would not be ready for a while. This left me a little baffled as we were the only patrons in the establishment and they just opened for the day. He asked us if we wanted to order something else. But I thought to myself if the ackee wasn’t ready how would the pork chop or oxtail that was on the brunch menu be ready? We decided we would pay for the drinks we order and go to another establishment for brunch. When the bill came, the waiter charged us $10 for Alyssa’s Shirley temple that didn’t even have the proper ingredients. (Im sure they could have googled it. It was Missing the sprite) We were charged $10 for the Shirley Temple and $10 for the rum punch. The issues here was on the brunch menu the rum punch was $6 and why was a child’s drink the same price as an alcoholic beverage? I did find it interesting the receipt said “large” for the rum punch but was never given the option and the menu did not indicate large or small sizes. Please note the time on the receipt.

Went there for a friends birthday dinner . Everybody officially sat down at 8:40 . We got drinks at around 8:55pm. My issue is with the service. It could be so much better. Also I understand not having an official menu because it changes everyday but you could at least print what the food ls and put it on paper for guests to see. The servers were friendly but when I ordered at 9:15 , I didn’t get food until 10:20. The other guests that was at the birthday dinner didn’t get food until 10:40 pm and just had to take it to go because the wait was so long. The birthday girl didn’t even get to do her cake because we had to wait so long for food and we were all ready to just go home. The food was good it’s just the service and organization needs to improve hence the three stars. Also the pricing is ridiculous because when you search it up it says fried chicken is around $10-15 and I was charged $25 for 4 lil pieces of chicken and rice and piece which is wild no matter how good the food is.
