This Mexican food is the best of the best! Best on Maui! I lived in California for decades eating Mexican food and this is reeeeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyy great Mexican food! You won’t be disappointed! Tried the quesabirria tacos, elote, tostada and a carne asada burrito. The flavors were unbelievable! Chicken – carne asada all incredible!!! Eolte Insanely good! Can’t wait to come back frequently!

I grew up in SoCal and for the longest time been disappointed by the availability of authentic Mexican cuisine on Maui. This isn’t only the best bite of Mexican on Maui but trumps many of my favorite spots in San Diego and LA. The hot sause is incredible and the proteins are seasoned to perfection. Lupita is my new favorite lunch spot and in time I will try their whole menu.

So happy to have Lupitas upcountry. Today we got taquitos, and 2 carne asada burritos. Our requests to leave out a couple things was not a big deal. Everything was excellent. Will go back for the birra tacos and burritos. Muy Bueno!

Highly recommend Lupitas! Located in the middle of Wailuku, we had lunch. All three dishes were fantastic and we have left overs to enjoy! We had the Pambazos, the chile rellenos and toquitos. Each were delicious and made fresh. We also tried their hibiscus iced tea. It was amazingly refreshing, fruity and had a perfect balance, not too sweet – not too sour. It is owner operated and they are super nice and pride of ownership is clear. The truck is spotlessly clean, has new paint and very cheery. There are picnic tables with shade to sit and enjoy the food. It’s a good find! Easy to drive by it as it is on the left side as you drive down the hill on Main Street. So, watch closely for it!
