Our group had a buffet dinner upstairs. The dinner was good: salad, tender roast beef, smothered chicken, green beans with bacon, twice-baked potatoes, and peach cobbler. Our server was excellent! There was an elevator for those who couldn’t do the stairs. One big suggestion is to vacuum the stairs! The worn carpet on the stairs is filthy! The museum wasn’t much. The General Store was not worth it.

Needed to stop for lunch while passing through. Read the reviews and decided to try it. Glad we did! They had a steak special. The 3 of us had that. My son is hard to please when it comes to his steaks and he approved!!
Waitress was very nice. Fun little place. Love the name of this town!!!

Incredibly impressed with all aspects of this place. Loved the western atmosphere through its substantially decorated dining room. Ribeye was perfectly cooked, fries were fantastic, and the chicken fried steak they claimed was a local favorite lived up to its name. Service was kind and quick, and the portions were phenomenal for the price. Overall amazing experience.

Ordered through door dash, had the option of a Meal for $15 or an appetizer for $9 of the Mac and Cheese brisket, ordered the meal for $15, only to find out that it is only sold as an appetizer.
They didn’t try to make it right, just said they’d fix the problem on the app ‍♀️
I don’t know, but $15 for 7 bites of Mac and cheese is wild to me, especially when I can get an entire meal for $17.
Picture of $17 meal next to $15 Mac and cheese.

I had the smothered hamburger steak and it would have been great except for too much salt. The char was excellent. The baked beans here are exceptional and made in-house.

A must stop/ must try spot if you’re ever in town or just passing through! The food is absolutely delicious and steaks were perfect. The atmosphere, staff and service were all 100% as well!

Start off with maybe the only positive thing about our experience….
The atmosphere/Museum was the part that almost made up for how horrible the food was. The food was literally the worst I’ve had honestly. Baked potatoes don’t start until 5pm and when we ordered at 6pm they were out already. Got the mashed potatoes and guess not surprised they were instant mashed potatoes. The roll was dry as if it had set out all day and the mac and cheese was THE WORST! Beans were just ok and I didn’t even get one of my sides which I didn’t even bother cause with all the other disappointment why bother. To be excited for what should have been a great steak dinner with a western feel atmosphere turned into one of the worst dining experiences.

We had Easter brunch here and woooooowza!! All the stuff you’d get at Embassy Suites buffet but waaay better!! The omelettes were insanely good and the bacon and ham were smoked! I believe that it unclogged my arteries, but I could have that backwards. Give these guys a shot and also check out their museum! Great spot and 1st rate service!!

Enjoyed stopping here. Fun western feel, with museum telling you some of the history of the area. Got the spicy cheese curds, and brisket grilled cheese and both were great. Making this a future stop on my travels along I-80.

My wife and I stopped in on our way through town. We went upstairs to the hayloft and met Ashley the bartender. We had burger and chicken wings. The food was great as well as the prices. The best part was Ashley. Very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend stopping there. Jeff from minnesota!
