Piacere Mio, translating to It’s My Pleasure, is a homey Italian restaurant owned by Stefano Poletti and Marco Fontana. We started as a small coffee shop in South Park in 2013, but our passion for Italian cuisine and entrepreneurial spirit led to our evolution into a full-fledged restaurant. In May 2024 Piacere Mio – Ristorante Italiano is turning 10! The restaurant is known for our homemade pasta, including fresh Fettuccine, Lasagne, Ravioli, among others. The ingredients are carefully sourced, with semolina and eggs being key components. In-house pasta making follows traditional recipes from Stefano’s family, who have operated a restaurant in Italy for three generations. Our mission is to offer customers a culinary journey thro…

We were looking for some nice Italian food and ordered it from Doordash. We ended up ordering Orecchiette Con Salsiccia, Ravioli Di Carne Al Funghi, Pollo Alla Parmigiana and Spaghetti Carbonara. My favorite was the Orecchiette Con Salsiccia, the taste of the sausage and sauce were top tier. Overall all of the dishes were solid and would recommend going here if you’re looking for some nice italian food.

Lovely homey Italian restaurant we had two appetizers octopus and calamari. And our entries were fruiti de mare, Spaghetti bolognese and lamb with mushroom pasta… finished with a tiramisu. The food was excellent and the meal thoroughly enjoyable! Highly recommended

Food is amazing here. The staff is very Italian and friendly. A lot of the dishes use alternative ingredients such as walnuts instead of pine nuts in the pesto.
Overall a lot of care and attention goes into this food. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I’ve tried I think 9 chicken parmigiana dinners since moving to San Diego and this one is my favorite. Definitely the chicken Parmesan spot, might be my favorite chicken parm in SoCal. House salad is also good. I have a soft spot for Italian red wines.

Ordered the spaghetti with meatballs that were supposed to be stuffed with mozzarella. They were underseasoned and not stuffed with mozzarella. The waiter said it was mixed with mozzarella, but there was no cheese in the meatballs. The ravioli de carne was okay.

The food, service and atmosphere are amazing. My wife had the salmon and I had the lasagna, we shared a fren salad and an Affogato for dessert. Pricing was reasonable and the hostess was spectacular, she managed to get us in with a short wait on a night when the place was packed. They did a great job turning tables did not rushing us. Would highly recommend!

Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. I had the meatballs for appetizer and gnocchi for the main dish. Both were good. I also had the cannoli for dessert which I thought was pretty good and seemed very fresh. The ambience inside seemed nice. The outside patio where I was also nice and there was quite a bit to see on the street without being too loud. The service for the most part was really good, but once a gentleman took our plates while we were still eating our bread and said the main dish was coming out when we hadn’t even received our appetizers. I can overlook that as just a mistake but at the end of the day when we just started eating our dessert, the waiter put down his credit card machine right in front of the person I was with. I thought this was rude at best and kind of turned me off to the whole experience which up until that point was good. I go out to eat a lot, so to see a-waiter put a credit card machine literally in front of someone while they’re eating and walk away was weird.

I want to give a better rating to this cute Italian restaurant, but I just can’t. Parking was hard to find. The wait staff were fabulous and attentive. The food was average. My biggest problem with the restaurant was the noise. We had a family dinner at Piacere Mio and could only speak/hear the person right beside each other. Maybe it’s the concrete floors and brick walls. Lastly, its not reasonable to have only one bathroom for the whole restaurant.

I had a terrific lunch at this Italian eatery in South Park, San Diego. They not doubt offer some of the best Italian cuisine in San Diego.
The special Lasagna was exceptional. It came with house made pasta and sausage. The béchamel sauce with mushrooms was very flavorful.
The antipasti di mare was phenomenal. The shrimp, baby octopus, and calamari rings were all tender and tasty.
Both the house salad and tiramisu were very good as well.
The service was very friendly and the atmosphere here is best described as cozy.
