I was excited to try their squid ink pasta, but it fell a little flat. The tomato sauce felt basic and it was noticeably under-seasoned — even adding salt and cheese at the table didn’t make much of a difference. The pizza was decent, but again, just that.
If you’re a fan of straightforward, unfussy Italian food, you’ll probably enjoy it.
The five stars is basically for that dish, though the steak was also excellent. Cooked perfectly temp and seasoning-wise.
If you love traditional Roman cacio e pepe, the pizza version might become your favorite food.
Service was solid. Ambience was a bit generic, but certainly didn’t detract from the overall experience, just not super memorable. I’d definitely come back.
The soup of the day was butternut squash, and it was unbelievably sweet.
The chicken Parmigiano, which was the pizza of the day was also very sweet. Overall, the food tasted like it had a large amount of honey in it.
The atmosphere and the service were good, but the sweetness of the dishes was overwhelming.
The portions are quite large, so it’s best to order accordingly. The calamari had a slightly thick batter, but it was still tasty, especially with the accompanying sauce. The pasta had a well-balanced flavor. The short rib was delicious, but the portion was too much for one person. The risotto served with it was a bit oily and salty.
This place would be great for family gatherings or a group of 4-5 friends.
Salad is too sweet + creamy cheese make the entrée quite heavy + oily bread
Pasta is too salty
Tiramisu is basic
Good service in general
Need more attention to quality of food before serving
We tried the Arancini in appetizer.
In entree we highly recommend the Grilled Branzino and the Trottole chicken Pesto
Specially the Branzino had so much flavor and the sauce was awesome
Update 8/18
Visited north Italia for the second time
Excellent food and service this time
Highly recommend the Branzino and Tiramisu in dessert
The pesto pasta was equally good
The service was a bit subpar and the waitress hardly came over to ask what we needed.
We need a spoon for the entree and by the time she came we almost finished our dinner
Definitely will visit this place again
