I never make bad reviews but today was the day for sure . I came in and asked if they sold flautas . The lady said yes , it comes with lettuce , pico , sour cream and guac . I order the flautas with 2 extra sides . When my food came something told me to look . Not only did I get a big burrito as flautas but I also did not have any of my toppings . Went back and asked if I got the correct meal , she said yes with an attitude and brought me the smallest amount of toppings I ever seen in my life . When I asked about the guacamole I was suppose to get, she said oh you don’t get that because you ordered off the lunch menu . I never got a menu , I walked in and asked if they sold flautas , she rang it up off the lunch menu knowing that I wouldn’t get the guacamole she told me I would get if it came off the lunch menu , that was her mistake not mines I expect to get what you told me originally before I paid . She had a bad attitude …. food was not on point . The refried beans were watery and the rice was plain , no seasoning . I’m just gunna leave this here so when they see this review they will also see a picture of what flautas are suppose to look like and never in my life have I ever got served a big burrito as a flauta and it wasn’t even wrapped on corn tortilla it was wrapped on the same dough you make empanadas with . Just nasty . I will never ever come back I promise you . If you want a good Mexican spot go to Taquería La Oaxaqueña on Mt Zion Rd . They have great foood , low prices and very welcoming . They also have a salsa station so you can take as much salsa you may need . Every order weather dine in or take out gets chips and salsa . Peso sucks

I hate when u tell a restaurant your food is nasty and they do nothing about it. Manager came to the table and basically said oh well. If you didn’t come to rectify the situation why come to my table so pointless. Rice was bland chicken was chewy not done literally spit it out. My coke was flat. Would not recommend.

Our go to place for a delicious meal, thanks to both of the chefs – Carlos’s. The shrimp cocktail, fresh made guacamole, chicken enchiladas w/ beans and rice, and the chicken Caesar salad were so good and tasty. The frozen margarita with Sangria hit the spot. The waitresses are always working hard and Friday evening live music was entertaining.

Super friendly and casual environment. The regular customers are very friendly and will most likely introduce themselves to you, if you don’t introduce yourself first. The servers are also very laid back and friendly. The kitchen is a little slow, but any kind of meat that you order will taste amazing, whether steak or chicken or fried pork chops. Everything else on your plate, however, will just be average, and in spite of the name, I’m not sure how authentically “Mexican” it really is. Also, the prices seem slightly inflated, perhaps to compensate for below average tips, so expect to pay more than a few “Pesos.”

I absolutely love this place. The service was excellent and quick. The food was fantastic and delicious. We got a chicken sandwich with fries, shredded chicken tacos and a Mexican pizza with ground beef. They also had wings, burgers, sandwiches, soups and other dishes if you go with someone who doesn’t want Mexican food. The salsa was SO good. It was hard to choose what to eat because everything sounded so incredible but they did not disappoint. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been coming here on and off for years since I moved to Atlanta back in 2014. Like the reviews mature crown, I think they have karaoke on Tuesday nights. The food is always on point. When it is busy the service is okay but I never have any complaints. I’m surprised the rating is as low as it is. They deserve a at least the 4.5 .It’s a good low-key spot that never disappoints in my opinion. And prices are on point for drinks and food.

0/10 wouldn’t recommend. I wish I could leave a 0 . I ordered loaded beef nacho’s , the meat was not fresh at all . The meat was in clumps as if it had been stored and refrigerated it wasn’t warm at all it seemed like it was just microwaved it was literally below room temperature. There was so much grease in the food when I took a bite which I only took one and my stomach instantly started to hurt . I called to speak with a manager and she had an unpleasant tone without even hearing my concern after I explained she didn’t even apologize for my inconvenience or anything of the nature . The only thing she replied in her UNPLEASANT TONE was “k you wanna bring it back , you can bring it back “ when I arrived she seemed like she was waiting on me , before I could say anything she said to me “she said you waited 30 minutes “ which was off rip a lie like I told her the cashier told me 10 minutes on the phone and I was 12 minutes away then I went to get my phone to even prove the time period with my card receipt. When I came back in she had her second excuse ready “so you’ve ate half of it I can’t take it back “ I didn’t even finish my first bite . She wouldn’t give me a refund and only wanted to remake the food but why would I want the same reheated meat I wouldn’t not ever come back here the manager made me feel like I was crazy she couldn’t not take accountability for her business and that is poor management . But the proof is literally in the pudding. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE !!!

A fun place for Taco Tuesday Night. If you arrive later in the evening join in on the Karaoke. The food is well seasoned . I could eat here again.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Peso Mexican Cantina in Decatur, GA and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I would rate it a three-star establishment. Let me break it down for you.

First and foremost, I have to commend Peso Mexican Cantina for their delicious sweet hot lemon pepper wings. They were truly a delightful combination of flavors and definitely worth trying. If you’re a wing lover, this place won’t disappoint in that regard.

However, I did encounter a few challenges during my visit. Parking was quite challenging as the place was completely full. It took some time to find a spot, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the restaurant had a DJ and later turned into a Karaoke night. While some people enjoyed the lively atmosphere and made space to dance and sing, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re seeking a more relaxed dining experience.

Another aspect that concerned me was the presence of security later in the evening. As someone who is not familiar with the area, it made me a bit apprehensive. However, I understand that it’s important for the safety and well-being of all patrons, so I appreciate the effort in that regard.

One thing that struck me as odd was that despite the name “Mexican Cantina,” the menu had a lot of American food options. From burgers, fish, chicken, and pork sandwiches to shrimp Po’Boy and Ribeye Steak, it definitely had a strong American influence. On the Mexican side, they offered tacos, quesadillas, Mexican pizza, and shrimp ceviche. If you were expecting a solely authentic Mexican dining experience, this might come as a disappointment. However, if you’re open to a fusion of American and Mexican flavors, you might find some dishes that suit your taste.

While Peso Mexican Cantina didn’t fully meet my expectations for an authentic Mexican dining experience, their sweet hot lemon pepper wings were a standout dish that I would definitely return for. The parking situation and the lively atmosphere may not be ideal for everyone, but if you’re looking for a place to have a great time with music and karaoke, this might be a good fit.

I hope this review helps in providing an honest and balanced perspective. Happy dining!
