I always trick myself into hoping this location has somehow got its act together and end up disappointing myself. This location is consistently slow and they never have Baja Blast syrup at the drink fountains.

Went in for lunch, ordered food at 12:15 and wasn’t out of the store until 12:40. I ordered 2 cheese rollups, a taco, and a drink that you pour yourself at the fountains. 25 minutes of waiting for two of the easiest items on the menu.

I think it’s an understaffing issue, or maybe their workers just aren’t paid enough to care. But the 3 women on the line were definitely not keeping up with the lunch rush. I honestly think that’s a wild failure on management’s end. Clearly these ladies not equipped to handle a Loop lunch rush, but in the handful times I’ve been here over the past year, nothing has changed.

The workers are nice and might even be doing their best, it’s just not enough to keep up with the foot traffic and online/delivery orders. Hire more people or something lol

This location has come a long way considering the last time I was here that was a shooting. You can now use the bathroom! There’s no gang bangers hanging out anymore

After a quick visual inspection:

Employees are wearing gloves and head covering.

Countertop is decent and dining room is decent.

No need to call the health department at this time.

The only issue is the manager duty at the time. I arrived needs training class on customer service. Other than that no complaints.

The young Spanish guy employee that works Monday evening is rude and doesn’t know how to provide hospitality or service with a genuine wholesome smile.
The employees need to be retrained. They don’t know how to communicate with customers or food couriers. If they can’t handle the heat they need to get out of the kitchen.
I asked both employees for gift cards to purchase and they both didn’t know where they were or if they had any and so they said they don’t have any. So when I ordered food and I was waiting for my order I saw the gift cards behind the cash register up high on the shelf on display.
When I tried to communicate with the black guy and the Spanish guy employee, They both were very quick to try to shut me up because they were very busy preparing food and a lot of people were waiting in line to pick up orders. So I spoke up and said I’m leaving now so just give my food to the homeless guy please because I bought two orders of food for the homeless guy and I also left without purchasing gift cards. The Spanish guy tried to sound like a tough guy and get the last word instead of being more understanding.
The ambiance of this place is very uncomfortable and very scary.
The employees obviously don’t know how to handle things properly or articulate eloquently.

Wow the taco here was hot and fresh. So were the mini empanadas. They changed the interior last time I was here and made less space and no TV anymore. They gave me a free drink.

The swing-shift manager at this establishment, Karen Medina, demonstrated prejudicial treatment towards myself and colleague. At arrival, I went to you the restroom, however, Oscar, the cashier, announced to the store that the restaurant were not private. Understood, I purchased a drink and asked if the restroom needed a key to be opened. Oscar explained that the manager would need to open it. He went to Medina and told her that I needed access to the restroom. Medina did not move from the kitchen, and after 3 mins of her failing to acknowledge that I’m was waiting for her , I asked her if she was going to open the restroom and she told me I needed to wait until she’s finished in the kitchen. I explained that I needed to use the restroom and I’d rather not urinate on the floor, Medina tone raised, stating , “I have orders, can’t you see I’m making orders, can’t you wait!” I told her that I could not wait, I needed to use the restroom and she could simply open the door. Medina disregarded and continued to ignore me for another 3 mins. Oscar and Medina continued making food while making me wait to use the restroom. Finally, Medina walked over to the restroom and put in a code.

This was disappointing and upsetting because the code could’ve been provided to allow me to use the restroom and allow her to continue working. Instead, Medina was argumentative and disrespectful.

When I finally was allowed into the restroom, 2 stalls did not have toilet paper, the store was playing music with racial slurs and profanity, which was not realized until I got inside the restroom. When I finished, I went back to the register and requested a refund for the prejudice treatment received by Oscar and Karen Medina (Manager.) Medina began speaking in Spanish to Oscar regarding me already using the restroom and requesting a refund, yet when Medina was asked to make the transaction, she refused to come to the register.

I requested both their names and Medina refused to give me her name while Oscar (cashier) attempted to lie and give me a false name. Medina’s name was on the receipt.

I have never experienced such racial discrimination at any establishment and for a “manager” to behave so poorly, it’s unacceptable. Karen Medina should not be a manager of anything. I legit wouldn’t give ay stars if it was an option.

Keywords: prejudice, racial discrimination, racial slurs, profanity, prejudicial treatment, argumentative.

Attached is the music played in the store.
Duration:
Order a drink at 4:49
Allowed into the restroom at 4:56

I order and received my food quickly. I asked for the code to the bathroom to wash my hands. They said they did not have water in the bathroom and would not let me wash my hands. How are the employees washing their hands?

I went in ordered on their kiosk and my food was ready for 10 minutes and no one informed me. My food was extremely cold and it was workers giving drunks free food while mine was cold. It was drunk people everywhere but it was clean in the store.

if the workers had name tags, I would name them all. unfortunately for Will, he’s the only name I know. Visited on October 31, 2025. The service was absolutely horrible. The workers were rolling their eyes, ignoring all customers, and taking their precious time to prepare orders during a rush. I waited for over 2 hours for my food to be taken by someone else, and when I asked the worker about it I was treated like an idiot and blamed for someone else stealing my food. Absolutely despicable service. Absolutely disgusting restaurant. Will never visit again.

they apparently only accept mobile orders. so if you want something now dont come. there is also bugs running around outside and they only accept mobile orders. not sure why they stay open when the employees say they cannot accept new orders. curious. does not matter if they are open they will
not help you if youve made mobile order. they will not even refund you.
