The employees were amazing. Very attentive, service was fast, friendly, and accurate. Our waitress was super sweet and friendly. She went above and beyond by bringing out several other employees to sing me a happy birthday song, with a massive Sombrero and a yummy dessert. The food was superb. Portions were more than enough. I really can’t say enough good things about Ixtapa. We are so coming back here again and when we do we will take pictures and update this review with them. 1. Chips are served warm with mild salsa and refried beans to start…better than most free chips offered at other restaurants we’ve had. 2. Ribeye Tacos: wow these were so good…my wife orderd them but I had to try them for myself (and will definitely order them myself next time)! 3A. Enchilada with Barbacoa Beef: tender shredded beef with a delicious red sauce. 3B. Tamale with Pork: what makes this stand out is the incredible green sauce…all served on top of a corn husk for a very nice flair. 4. Service is prompt and friendly and it was a pleasure chatting with our server. Ixtapa is by far the bext Mexican Restaurant in the Stanwood/Arlington area. Like I said, we’re coming back…and this time to take pictures!

Absolutely amazing experience. Extremely friendly. Quick and attentive. Our kids had a great time and loved that everyone acknowledged them also.
They even brought us a little desert for our kids as a surprise. Truly made the kids night! We will be going again when we get the chance.

My husband and I come here when we are in town. The service and food is consistently good. The margaritas are great. Chips with beans and salsa are always delivered quickly (we’ve never had to ask). Today my girlfriend and I went for lunch and as usual it was perfect. I had the Mexican bowl with chicken, it was fantastic, healthy yet filling. Ive tried many dishes here from the burritos, salads, tacos, and chile verde (my husband’s favorite). We usually sit in the bar but we’ve sat on the patio and in the main restaurant all of which are very comfortable with lots of room. I highly recommend this restaurant due to its consistent food quality (never greasy or too salty), and the very friendly service.

The carne asada enchiladas were delicious and the beef tacos were so savory and moist! The chips and salsa/beans were fresh, we loved them. The staff is so good about coming around and offering you more of everything. We came with our 2 year old and they gave him a coloring sheet and toddler chair. This restaurant is very kid friendly.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and it just keeps getting better.
The food is excellent, and they are very accommodating to make changes or substitutions.
I highly recommend the Marcos Margherita, which is made with orange, lemon and lime fresh juice. Almost seems nutritious, packed with vitamin C.
I also love the fresh guacamole, made at your table and customized to your taste. But you’ll need to share with others, as it is huge.
Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. The attentive manager seems to always be there.
Do your self a favor and treat yourself to an exceptional experience here.

Look. I wanted to like Xtapa. I really did. But this place served me a $120 heartbreak on a platter.
We ordered birria, carne asada, carnitas… and got a sampler of “flavorless meats of America.” The carne asada came out so overcooked it could’ve doubled as a grill brush. The carnitas? Just soggy pork sadness. And the birria? Honestly, I’ve had more passion in a Taco Bell Crunchwrap at 2 a.m.
Everything came with the same dry rice and beans so bland I thought maybe they were on an elimination diet. The margarita tasted like it was made in a factory where joy goes to die….flat, mid, and pre-mixed into oblivion.
And for what? $120? For that money, I could’ve had Pedro at Dos Reales serenade me with a sizzling fajita plate and a hug.
Save yourself. Go where the flavor lives. Xtapa isn’t it.

Decided to give it a try for lunch. The salsa for the chips was good, and the refried beans with the chips and salsa was something I’d never seen before.
The service was great they came right out with the chips. Then I placed my order and was impressed with the turn around time from order to reviving my taco salad.
I had the taco salad with chicken. The guacamole was good the lettuce was fresh and there was a good amount of chicken. My only complaint is the lack of flavor. If I order it again I will ask for more salsa to spice it up.

I had ordered a nacho supreme, When I got home, I was unhappy with what I got, and normally I’d never call but however with the price increase with almost EVERYTHING I did call, They were very respectful and kind, They took my name and told me to please some back for a on the hose Nacho, a month later they were just as kind and respectful and when I got home I was very PLEASED and Thankful! So I just wanted to Thank them once again for the overall great service! ❤️

Love this place and our waitress Kiya is absolutely amazing. Such a friendly and warm welcoming environment. The food is delicious, however the only thing I don’t like about the food is the corn that they put in their Mexican rice. That’s why food only got 4 stars. Other than that, we love this place and will continue to go for our weekly night out!
