Quickly greeted at the door and offered drinks while we waited. Short wait on a Saturday morning. Food was good. Almost everything comes with biscuits and gravy and that was probably our least favorite part of the meal. Eggs and steak cooked perfectly. Kids enjoyed their pancakes. In and out in 45 minutes. Came for some breakfast before triple play.

New Owners – taking away the “build your own omelet” option – not a good choice. Switching from the iconic country gravy that was unique to this restaurant to a powdered generic pepper gravy – also, wrong decision. As local kids who grew up going to our favorite breakfast restaurant, as a family bringing our boys here on the weekends ahead of farm chores, and family friends when they’d come to visit, we aren’t impressed with these changes.

Today was our 1st time visiting Rustler’s Roost. Had a great breakfast! Price was good and the portions were great! Service was friendly and the food came out fast and hot. Wish I would have taken some pictures but I was hungry and tore right in. We will definitely be back again soon.

Servers get a 5 star. Very nice people. $14 for 3 eggs and a small bowl of cottage cheese is expensive in my book. Was also sat next to a table of old timers, I’m assuming regulars, that were having a very loud debate about politics. That is what it is, but after a couple loud F bombs I didnt appreciate being in the restaurant anymore with my 3 and 6 year old. Looking around at other tables I could tell we were not the only ones annoyed. Spent 50 bucks on very little food and trying to distract my kids from angry patrons. Not an ideal breakfast.

This is currently my favorite breakfast place in Hayden. It is not a large place but big enough for large family dining. It is also cozy for couples on a date or fun for singles looking for a nice place to eat American comfort foods. It is clean and seems to have workers that care about the atmosphere and aesthetics. The service was excellent, I think we waited only several minutes for our food. The menu had a good selection of items! This place is much better than the Blue Plate, dont waste your time at that place.

Went to this place on Sunday with my boyfriend and just had the best time! We had a tiny wait, but while we waited they offered us coffee, tea and other beverages. It hardly felt like waiting! Their menu is filled to the brim with super tasty options. I got the eggs Benedict and they were awesome. My boyfriend got the country fried steak and biscuit and gravy and WOW that gravy was awesome. Their food is really good, and their decor was also really good. It felt like an old western hotel or saloon and was just super sweet. The best part of our meal was the GIANT cinnamon roll we shared with the table. I can’t wait to go back.

The food is great (really it is, although the portions are not generous) and the service is great (another great positive point). Unfortunately, the prices are quite high at $18 for a full breakfast with coffee + $5 more for tax and tip. In a fine restaurant, this would be acceptable, but the atmosphere here shows a worn out restaurant with bench seats so old that I sank down so low that I felt like a small kid at the dinner table – and lumpy – really, really uncomfortable. I hope for something better for a $23 breakfast.

I loved this place when it was on Sherman, this is the 1st time I’ve been here in 10 years or more. And it’s just as good as I remember.
Google maps will lie about how to get in here. From Hayden avenue, turn at the Maverick, on N. Kirkpatrick street, you’ll see the sign for Rustlers on the 1st driveway on the right. It’s behind the Maverick.
I was greeted by Woody, who confirmed I was seating just 1 person, then bragged about his Algebra skills. Lol He’s always been a funny guy, he’s the original owner. I was seated in back where I could read in semi quiet. The server was friendly and prompt, I had a Waffle smothered in butter and syrup, with 2 eggs over easy (perfectly done, btw) with 2 bacon, a small glass of OJ, and a glass of chocolate milk. All of which arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. I slow munched my meal and read, with the server popping by every 15 minutes or so. They were friendly, fast, the food was delicous and just how I remembered it, and all of that food costed me $14.89. I was there about an hour, reading, enjoying the classic rock and oldies playing over head. And if you favor old western type decor with various oddities, you will love Rustlers Roost. And They have homemade teas and soaps for sale up front, with other little original items. I didn’t really look too closely, Idk what the prices were, but hopefully my pictures tell the story for me.
I came for the nostalgia, and good food, and I wasn’t disappointed, nd had a few laughs while I was there. That’s why I give it 5 stars. Because there isn’t 6 stars to give.

They were busy and short handed but our waitress gave us all the attention we needed, like it was any other day. The food was good and hot. They are known for their spice tea and it didn’t disappoint. My friend and I enjoyed our meal at the Rustler’s Roost.
