This is my favorite fast food place in the area. The tray is a great bargain (entree, 2 sides, and drink). Their food is typical fast food quality, but the orders always arrive quickly regardless of how busy the place is. It can get pretty rowdy in there, especially late at night.
The best thing is their milkshakes, which are more like thick ice cream. They have a ton of different flavors, and it’s not uncommon for people to eat out at one place, then get CookOut milkshakes for dessert.

So I love cookout! Let me get that clear but I hate the fact they randomly always close before time, if it’s 3:30am close they shut down before 2:55an block all the windows and ignore you even if you see them and vice versa. Really shitty service can’t lie. Atmosphere on weekends is hella annoying, I do totally understand the fact it’s a college town, but still it’s a mess in there and the car lines are too long because they are working very slow inside. A lot of the times they also put less chicken nuggets as they are supposed to and that’s the one thing I usually always get!!! So yea it’s annoying.

Cookout is my first choice when I need a meal fast. This particular location is my last choice. I’d rather fast. For the last few years this place has been going downhill and shows no signs of changing. Stale dry bread, unprofessional and borderline gangster staff, and a dirty atmosphere. Bulldoze the place, rebuild, completely restaff (especially management), and then I will look forward to weekly patronage once again.

I’ve given this place two chances, and both times I was met with the same poor treatment—if not worse the second time. The staff are consistently impolite and dismissive. On my last visit, the person at the drive-through refused to respond to my questions (for example, I asked if my drink was the small size I ordered, since I was clearly handed a large, but she just looked at me up and down and said nothing). When I asked for the manager, she was polite, but her excuse was unacceptable—claiming the staff member “doesn’t know English,” even though she clearly understood me when I asked her to call the manager. And honestly, in a busy town, no one can convince me that someone working in food service doesn’t understand something as basic as “small” and “large.”
The way they treat customers makes you feel like you’re asking for free food. Completely unprofessional, and I won’t be coming back. If you value basic respect and good service, I’d suggest avoiding this place—bad behavior shouldn’t become the norm.
Food is ok, just basic old-fashioned burger and fries. I tried it twice to make sure that it’s a rare experience, so I give it 3.5/10. The shake is basically just ice cream, so don’t waste your money on it assuming you would get at least a normal shake.

I got there at around 11:40 pm and stayed with some friends till about 12:10 am. The person behind the counter was creepy and he kept doing things suggesting that he wanted us to leave almost like they were closing but I know for a fact that they are open till at least 4am. Anyway worst experience I’ve ever had there. Will NEVER go to Cook Out for a late night bite ever again!

Food was really good and it came out like immediately. The service was terrible, however. I asked if they took Google pay to make sure I could pay, and the cashier rolled his eyes and threw up his hands at me. I’m not asking to be pandered to, I get that people have bad days, but don’t take stuff out on me for no reason.
Also, watched an employee pick napkins off a table and put them back in the main stack, which was very unhygienic.

Good food at a great price. Wow! Have heard from friends how good the food was here. None of them over stated how good! The cheeseburger was real charbroiled. A freshly cut tomato a nice fresh slice of onion and kosher dill pickle stacker not a pickle chip. A cup of chili with a blueberry milkshake (all pictured below). All for $7 & change! There was a constant line and they were fast, from ordering to delivery maybe 10 minutes. We will definitely be going to a Cook Out burger joint AGAIN & AGAIN!

The family recently visited a restaurant on the main drive leading into the university. I had heard great things about their burgers, so I decided to give them a try. To our surprise, the burgers and fries were absolutely delicious! The dining area could use a bit of cleaning, but that’s easily fixable. It was a busy weekend with all the students returning to campus, so I can understand why the place was a bit messy. But if you’re looking for a great place to eat without spending a fortune, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

As an avid patron here, this pains me to say, but this place has been going downhill for years. It’s obvious that management is in need of an exorcism. The bread is frequently stale and dry, the staff is unprofessional, and the establishment is dirty. Bulldoze the building, replace management, retrain the staff, and then me and my family will return to weekly patronage. Until then, my family and I will not be returning
