This Middle Eastern restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and inviting aromas that set the tone for an incredible meal. The hummus is silky smooth, the pita is warm and fluffy, and the kebabs are tender and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Mixed Al Sham Entree ($20.99) and the Double Burger ($10.99), and unfortunately both items were very disappointing.
The Mixed Al Sham Entree came in a very small portion — definitely not worth the $20.99 price. The serving wasn’t even enough to fill a standard one-time meal box, which made the value feel extremely low for what I received.
But the biggest issue was the Double Burger. I honestly don’t know where to begin. What they delivered was not a burger in any normal sense. It came with only two large, unsalted, unseasoned beef patties and two tiny low-quality non-burger buns. No cheese, no lettuce, no tomato, no pickles, no sauce — absolutely nothing else. Just two dry patties between two small plain buns.
When I called the restaurant, they told me “that’s how our Double Burger is.” When I explained that I would share an honest review, they offered accommodation, but by that point it was too late — the experience was already ruined.
The item is called “Double Burger,” but what they sent does not match the standard expectation of a burger, especially when all basic toppings and condiments are missing.
Overall, the portions, quality, and presentation were far below expectations. I hope they improve, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend ordering these items.

Food is amazing!! I always get the lamb over rice and it’s always fresh with the white sauce on top. The service is top tier with nice and kind people behind the counter waiting to serve you.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Usually don’t have a problem but there was hair in my food today. I’m gonna stop eating here for a while. A waste of money the food was good until I seen here people need to start wearing hair nets. I know I have hair but the hair was buried under the fish and chicken no way I did that.

I no longer live in Philly, but every time I come back home for a visit (i usually order at least 3-4 different times), I make sure I get to Al-Sham for my NY salmon or salmon salad and spinach pies with that hitting garlic sauce. I don’t eat no other meat, but salmon. They have a friendly, clean atmosphere always providing service with a smile. Joy is my guy and there are a few new faces who I know will get to be familiar with me soon. Good food , good prices makes for good eating. Highly recommend.
