I place this cake order 1/16/2026 for pick up date for 1/24 has to push the date back for 1/31 at 2pm due to the snow storm. When I arrive to pick up the cake. It wasn’t what I ordered. They did not have the picture on the cake, once I talked to the cake decorator they were very apologetic for the mistake that was made told me that they was going to redo the cake and I can pick it up at 4 PM. Pick the cake up. It was beautiful exactly what I asked for once we went to the party song happy birthday cut into the cake. It was disgusting. It was like they rushed it. The picture came off once we started cutting. It was horrible. This was my granddaughter‘s fifth birthday cake. I was very disappointed and will not be ordering from them again

My family has been coming here for as long as I can remember. They even did my wedding cake back in 2016, and it was fantastic. My favorite thing they have, but you have to order it ahead of time, is the deep crumb coffee cake. I was just there Tuesday and picked it up, and it was delicious as usual!

It’s so warm and welcoming. The atmosphere alone win’s you. So I went to a family gathering and my cousin ordered a cake from here. It was so amazing! The cake left so fast lol. She told me where she got it from. I was in Helfer’s Pastries the following week. I’m a regular . I didn’t even like cake that much before coming here. The Carmel cupcakes are my favorites. They are soo soft, fluffy and buttery with a Carmel filling. The perfect amount of sweetness. The grandma cookies are a great balance of chewy and crunchy because of the cornflakes. Btw that was my first time tasting a cookie made out of cornflakes. The locals love this place from what I can tell. I met a customer who was celebrating 60yrs of marriage and says she’s been getting her anniversary cake from there for many years. Which tells me this place is trusted and true. It’s consistent in delivering quality baked goodies. I just moved in Florissant and this place is my favorite. Jamie the new owner greeted my husband and I with a beautiful smile. The staff are friendly and ready to tell you about any delicious treat you ask about.

I purchased my son’s wedding cake from Helfers and it was beautiful and delicious. That was 4 years ago. So, I recently stop by and purchased a chocolate cream puff and 6 cookies. The cream was over filled, and gummy. Pastry very hard and had a stale taste. Chocolate was thin watery. The entire puff wasn’t fresh at all. Sugar cookies also crumbling and stale. Grandma cookies I wanted to try big mistake. Also stale. The person who served me was polite and friendly. Maybe the shouldn’t keep their baked goods around too long. ♀️
