Fresh, high-quality sashimi, creative and tasty specialty rolls, and great daily deals—buy one get one half off on rolls, beer, and sake. The lunch specials are huge and affordable.
Friendly service, nice atmosphere, and easy to get to from Rowland Heights and West Covina. One of the best sushi spots in the area. Will definitely come back again and again!
All the sashimi and sushi here are cut fresh right at the sushi bar. The fish looks clean, the fat is delicate, and there’s no unpleasant fishy taste. The best part? The price is really reasonable for the quality — it’s not the kind of place that looks expensive but doesn’t deliver. You can really taste the freshness, and you leave feeling it was totally worth it.
Their current deals are also very appealing
Chef’s Special Roll / Beer / Sake
Buy one, get the second of the same item 50% off
Oysters 50% off
I got 6 pieces — they were super plump and delicious
$35 10-piece Sushi Special
You can mix and match your favorites. It’s a great value, perfect for sushi lovers who want to try different pieces in one go! Each piece is pretty big — one girl definitely can’t finish it all, super satisfying.
If you’re coming for lunch, be sure to check out their Lunch Special Menu. Options like Chirashi or Unagi Don are perfect for lunch — filling but not too heavy. It’s also great for nearby students or office workers to grab a takeout.
The Chirashi ($19.95, Mon–Fri lunch) comes with 8 thick-cut pieces of sashimi and a well-seasoned rice base topped with roe, tamago, and crab — way better than the usual “basic bowl” at this price.
They also offer Sushi Combo ($25.95 lunch special) with 8 pieces of sushi + a tuna roll, and a $35 10-piece sushi special where you can choose what you want, which is a nice option if you like variety.
On top of that, they have 50% off oysters and second roll 50% off, which makes it easy to order extra without the bill getting out of control.
Fish tasted fresh and clean across the board. Plenty of parking and convenient if you’re around Rowland Heights or West Covina. Definitely one of the better value sushi spots in the area — I’ll be back.
Japanese restaurants, right? Sometimes you find one with great food, but it’s expensive… Other times it’s affordable, but… eating too much gives you the runs…
The place I went to today not only had fresh ingredients and generous portions, but the prices were reasonable too.
Crazy Rock’N Sushi has many locations, but each one has a different menu and style. This time, in La Puente, I found exactly what I was looking for.
Even on a weekend, they still have 50% off any special roll for the second one. I ordered four rolls, all my favorites.
ZEN ROLL
ALASKAN ROLL
DRAGON ROLL
ROCK’N ROLL
Each roll has 8 pieces, and the portion size was surprisingly huge. The fish was fresh, and the avocado in the rolls was so fragrant and smooth—perfect for sushi rolls.
TAIRYO SASHIMI
Great value for money, and the ingredients were fresh. The six types of sashimi were a great combination.
YELLOWTAIL JALAPENO
I love yellowtail, and I got to have my fill with this one. Six extra-thick slices, just the right amount of fat, sweet and fresh without any fishiness. The meat is firm, more springy than salmon but more tender than tuna. I could eat this quality of yellowtail all day and never get tired.
I didn’t have high expectations for this place at first, but after this meal, I’ll definitely be back. After all, they have large portions, fresh ingredients, cheap prices, and I didn’t get the runs afterward. Honestly, how many Japanese restaurants can you find that check all these boxes…
Unfortunately, the male server who took our order today made us feel very uncomfortable. When taking our order, he barely spoke and simply said “mm-hmm” before walking away. When the food arrived, one item was incorrect and another was missing. We had ordered four items in total, but the ticket only showed three, and one of them was wrong.
We informed the food runner that the order didn’t seem right. The male server came over, looked at it, and without saying a word, took the incorrect dish away. He did not apologize, explain, or ask if we would like to reorder the missing items. We had to call him over ourselves to reconfirm our order.
We understand that mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and the unfriendly attitude made the experience unpleasant. We hope the restaurant can improve its service, as we have always enjoyed the food here.
