When we were first checking into our hotel after arriving in Los Angeles, we were hungry and did not want to spend a lot of time looking for a place to eat. This Denny’s was right across the parking lot from where we were so we went in and had a wonderful lunch. They have changed their menu and have a lot of new items now. Everything was made fresh and the staff is friendly as well as knowledgeable about the products on their menu. We had several questions and our waiter was able to answer them with ease.

This place gets super busy during the weekends. But the crew on duty was always attentive and able to work on the volume of people. Our server, Manny was great, pleasant and had a happy demeanor. When you’ve been working all night, it’s great to be greeted and served by someone with good energy. Food was tasty but the great service made the difference!

It’s Denny’s so order accordingly. I needed to be healthy for a bit and ordered the “wow” caught salmon. I am certain it was microwaved as it was weirdly hot but not grilled. Only microwave could heat it inside out. For the $16 that it costs, it was marginal along with the same “streamed” but mushy bundle of broccoli. The soggy garlic bread aligned with the microwave theory. It was tasty soaked in butter. I might learn to appreciate it more in another 15-20 years when no chew foods would be preferred. The tap water tasted like tap water. My side salad needed some weeding of the dead but after a few pieces, it was ok. For a Denny’s, this one is above average. Our waiter served well. The place wasn’t too busy and just before Christmas where malls and big restaurants are hard to get to and parking is war, steering away for a different venue made it so much easier to gather with friends.

This was my local hangout after work. I love that they’re just right off the highway and open late, especially when I worked 2nd shift. The waiters and waitresses have always been do kind. Management is personable, too. Through prices are a little higher than what I’d prefer, they do have some good deals at times.
The only thing is that my son, Josiah, had concerns that it was taking too long for the food to cook. I never thought about that because I’ve always been by myself and kept myself busy.

Ordered a curbside pickup carry out order and had my husband go pick it up. He gets there to find out that there’s no curbside pickup parking spots so he decides to get down and go inside for the order. Come to find out that they don’t offer curbside pickup anymore – regardless of their location still offering it on the website. And on top of that the staff decides to give my husband a very hard time about trying to pick up the order. At this point our order has been ready for 25 minutes, so now not only is our food cold but my husband has to deal with people withholding the order from him. Terrible staff and service here.

I worked all night came in with my family of three and was racially discriminated against. My black family walked in Dennys in Artesia, CA around 8:30 a.m January 19, 2026 and they had us waiting for about 20 minutes. An Asian waitress came and said she will be with us soon, but never came. There were plenty of seats available. We left, but seen the people that came in the door after us get seated immediately. This is very disappointing and very disturbing.
